PLUTOwerx Inc. (my new ships. view or i will eat your soul)

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

PLUTOwerx Inc. (my new ships. view or i will eat your soul)

Post by Boba Fettuccini »

PLUTOwerx is an engineering firm based out of Alpha Centauri, noted for thier starship and battleship designs. Though they are a smaller company, they have reliably created designs for many starships dating back to 2056, when they first rolled out the Utridge Class civilian transport, the first ship to ever make it between Sol and Alpha Centauri in less than 6 months.

Their current focus is on industrial designs, and private military vessels, a catalog of their most popular designs is included below.

Kooke Class Assault Carrier

Outfitted with some of the latest in weaponry breakthroughs, including the sustained assault beam, one of the only laser weapons on the market capable of high damage and an energy efficient beam.

As an afterthought, the creators added four tractor beam units to safely remove hazards and enemy fighters from the flightpath. Some creative captains have discovered they make wonderful offensive tools, and can be used to hurtle debris as enemy vessels.

Hammer-Class Asteroid Miner

Implements mining beams for precise cuts into chunks of space rock, tractor beams for bringing asteroids in to be cut up, and 'asteroid baffles' on the sides to protect the ship from sudden meteor bombardments. They have quite effectively proved to save the ship and crew from excess losses.

Also included are 6 'meteor sandscreens', little grids the launch small particles at high rates into dangerous meteor situations. By creating a small cloud of these in the path of approaching craft, rocks can be reduced in size before they have a chance to adversely affect the ship.

Queen Of Spades

Nicknamed after the card used in traditional games such as poker and blackjack, the Queen of Spades does indeed resemble a spade from a deck of cards. And so, it is aptly named. Equipped with a manner of weapons to cover it from all sides, the QOS makes a great addition to any planetary defense force. Design revision #34.6 features two high-damage light pulse scatterers, two full railgun batteries, two partial railgun batteries, two high-energy particle emitter batteries, a single battery of gatling balsters, and 12 rear-facing plasma torpedoes. An upgraded version may include several point-defense weapons, and addons of extra light pulse scatterers and high energy particle casters may be purchased.

The mining ship looks the best IMO. An asteroid miner isn't something we see all too often here.

Personally I like the assault carrier but the mining ship does look good as well. Boba if you have more ships then add them! Civilian ships aren't exactly common as I've seen. Everyone usually makes combat ships or combat support ships so seeing civilian ships would be good.

I have a civilian fleet in the works
Look Up
upon reading this:
50% of people will have scrolled up
25% will have looked at their ceiling
The last 25% can now feel smug because everyone else has taken orders from a little sig box.

it works beautifully in battle :D Especially in high-meteor zones, because its resistent to them, and can toss them around like baseballs :D

I made a few today, I'll load 'em tomorrow.

By virtue of its' side plates. Grr.....

But the Particle Cannons ate you up.

Still...Wonderful performance for a NON COMBAT vessel...
