Royal Neo Norwegian Romhæren
Yah, here goes my new project. Originally started as just one ship for the BP, I decided to expand it as my main SM 4.0 work. Hope you like, more backstory coming further down the road.

Isak Sellanrå Fleet Command Ship

Image
Armament:
- 425mW Thundershield Aetherlance Tankeresonans Reactor Beam
- 1400mm Solenoid Quench Gun Main Battery - Kulelyn Metallic Helium Warheads
- 4x 110mm Gatling MAC
- 4x Håbrann Cruise Missile Launchers
- 3x Ravnklo Cluster STS Missile Batteries
- 4x IR Laser CIWS

Image
Photoshoot from overhead fighter showing single-burst Thundershield discharge and missile deployment during weapons exercise

Ushering in the age of new nationalism and interstellar conquest, the far descendants of Norsemen proudly fly ancient colors as their own. The rapidly growing Romhæren (space army) has recently launched its first capital ship, the awe-inspiring Isak Sellanrå. A massive propaganda weapon and force projection tool, this lumbering nightmare can quickly turn the tide of a fleet battle with its Thundershield and numerous artillery weapons, and is a testament to the willpower and dare of a fledgeling nation.

PRO CLICK ZONE -> In the first of many combat simulation trials, the Sellanrå was pitted against the ACSS Maelstrom - highlighting many of the factors that led to its eventual commission. (and forcing AD to ramp up the OP on his big'un! Yuk yuk)

Nansen-class Guided Missile Destroyer
Image
Armament:
- 6x Munin Cruise Missile Batteries
- 1x Hugin Swarm Rocket Pod
- 2x Steil Interceptor Rocket Pods
- 1x IR Laser CIWS

Askeladd-class Assault Cruiser

Armament:
- 2x Fimbulvinter Hyperaccelerator Plasma Blasters
- 2x Hugin Swarm Rocket Pods
- 2x 110mm Gatling MAC
- 2x IR Laser CIWS

Yes, those are very big guns. Yes, they probably hurt like all hell.

~Tentative (BP-related) download coming soon.~

I saw the video. I am, to say the least, humbled and shamed by that magnificently awesome ship. You sir, are one of the best.

The ship is nice, not the best, I do see good stuff, nice overal shape.
Theres a lot, and a lot of cluttering.
The ship is big and detailed, but that doesn't say its the best, but its a good one.
Send some attention to the clutter, it looks more like a bunch of good parts cluttered together instead of a entire good ship.

Please define "cluttering", because unless you want to use gradient outlining and nearblack areas or tiling to fill up the inside of a ship, it's hard to get a gritty and busy look without a LOT of crisscrossing section borders. I don't find the ship layout confusing, to be honest, which is what I would define as "cluttered". The important parts, and the hull flow and color separation, is quite distinctive.

A slightly messy interior is part of the look I was going for, and it doesn't really bug me. I guess it could be a big deal for certain people. I'll keep it in mind.

The outer-wing engines, put attention in it.
I don't like this structure myself, but thats not a critic.
You might want to do some more about the glowing bridge/cannon

You flatter me, Kanosint.

It starts with Røyksopp Forever by Røyksopp, the rest is from assorted soundtracks. I think it's Diebuster and some old space movies. Had my itunes on shuffle while recording, so I don't know for sure.

i would agree that its cluttered and mainly because of your over use of very detailed parts. works better when you find that perfect balance of detail and filler parts =) use detailed ones for accenting a location rather than filling the ship

the part I'm referring to is the one that looks like a modified stock #3 as well as some of the orange border.

also just a personal preference but i would use slightly more varied colors for layering at the moment they tend to kinda blend together and distract your eye. there fine when u zoom in but when u look from any distance away it just becomes a blob of detailed sections

however i do like the overall shape of the ship and that you didn't seem to over weaponize it =)

Those red dot things ought to be red pointbeams or scatterbeams (aka anti-fighter beams), y'know.

It's not clutter since there is rhyme and reason to the detailed complexity of the ship.

Is it confusing? No, I can see exactly what connects to where and make a good guess at what that part does.

Professional use of glows and doodads. Excellent use of shades to get that depth.

I'm only concerned about the four winglets carrying the torpedo tubes, looks out of place.

Well, it's hella busy n all, but that's the fleet's style, right?

That's a pretty damn sweet ship - I love the layered glow, and I'm liking the lightning effect on the muzzles. Really looking forward to seeing this in action :D
