Heh, imagine what the noobships would be like with moving parts.

I feel sorry for the people who are just getting into shipbuilding. If they couldn't get parenting straight, how the hell will the manage this?

On a side note, we can all officially stop building until this release, since everything we have now will be rendered obsolete.

It looks to me like it's been layered with a shock beamer or something similar - there's a pretty distinctive central blue-and-white beam in addition to the RAWR LIGHTNING.

Well, I personally think, that this animation is too big (even more so, if compared to its source). The whole ship is big as hell, but.. who but me cares? :P

These shots look as if they were taken of a random "Hero with superpowers!" comic/anime. :?

P.S.: Make the ships round again!

P.P.S.: I nearly forgot! Great work! There are so many nice colors! Looks great! :D

I think that's more SWS's building than anything, look at the variety of ships the community has made with something like 26 basic sections... there's got to be what, 70 in those ships :o.

That would mean you have problems running GIFs on your computer, nothing to do with the game itself.

My video card is somewhat ancient (256MB AGP GeForce 6200), and has trouble with large animated images and the new effects in the current version of BSF. (It can just barely run Crysis on minimum settings at 640x480)

...And here I am with a shitty laptop that has 1/8th the amount of video ram and runs BSF at like 2 seconds a frame, can't run Crysis at all, and I can see the animated GIF just fine.

BTW, those ships look fucking awesome.

Wow. This is crazy.

I wonder if true hangar modules will be implemented, which build and launch custom ships instead of stupid blaster/impeder platforms or puny demeter drones.

If you can barely run BSF, why would you even try Crysis?

Hey, I can run Crysis maxed out and yet BSF lags my system at times - usually when I'm trying to run 4 thousand-piece dreadnoughts against each other, but hey .

I can see how that may affect performance.
