BC Industries ships: Updated 3/10

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Your new colorscheme reminds me of my own little fighter fleet :D

Cut down a bit on the weapons, though.

Well, I've come up with a new design. New to me, you guys have probably seen it before. I also decided to name my ships after Norse Gods, so without further ado, I present:

Image

The Fenrir-Class Battleship. This battleship is designed to take and dish out huge amounts of punishment, though it is relatively vulnerable towards the rear.

To combat this, BC Industries has reinforced the rear plating, and has added a few more particle guns to deal with incoming fire. However, due to the huge power drain on the core to run all the weaponry, particle gun ROF has fallen.

C&C please!

EDIT: I rounded out the command deck, and removed the broadside beamers. Replaced them with close range "dueling" beamers.

Pretty good. However, the white block is probably an eyesore. You could change that to a more rounded shape, perhaps?

What type of AI is this ship? The railguns are sticking away from the center of the x axis of the ship, therefore if they still have a 45 degree angle they will be kind of useless. The weapons are kind of cluttered.

Yeah, I realized that when I tested it, and removed them. I'll probably replace them with forward-facing beamers, or something.

New Ship, you guys know the drill! :)

The Skuld-Class Destroyer:

This destroyer is the toughest of it's kind. With reinforced frontal plates, the Skuld is an incredibly effective escort, usually seen guarding trade vessels. However, due to the drain caused by the weapons, shielding systems are unavailable.

The Nanna Kinetic missile, with payload shown.

This missile, while simple looking, delivers a close-range, shotgun-like blast. Upon detonation, thick, dense rings fire out, damaging all they hit.

BCI developed these in response to mercenary groups encroaching on BCI Shipyards space with Capital Ships.

Eh, the Skuld looks more like a KM to use against Anna's ships. Otherwise, it looks ok. A bit of PD spam on the front. Not much else is wrong though. The KM is pretty average, keeping the shape of the missile.
Basically, i'm just posting this out of boredom.

The Skuld is a blocky ship, though. Fairly bland.
