Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Refitted the gun turrets, reinforced the Evil Beam cover plate, installed stern chase turrets.

See if you can spot the difference. It's subtle, but it's enough to declare a new Mark for this upgrade.

Not the entire ship; there are a few unshielded areas. What's more significant is I bumped up the HP of the main structural members to more accurately reflect that they're solid fucking pieces of tridimensional nanotube mesh in an amorphous hafnium-boron alloy matrix 8) along with a very heavy armored collar of same around the Core. This is actually more in line with Aralonian and IVL shipbuilding practice.

As for the aegis, let's just say I acquired a few examples of technology from a race called the Hy'Rakkans. Considering the Sword's biological construction (enabling the interesting bleedingedge-tech 'bones' described above), this was very easy to integrate indeed.

And I still have a shoot-on-sight order for my fleet on his Thermopylae-class Dreadnought, too. I don't think he'll like my Evil Beam one bit, no sirree!
Great! now IT'S ALL AEGISED, and there's a BIG ASS LASER on it. I just wanted to tell you that the captain of the Thermopylae has wet himself. I hope you're happy.

I forgot how much I hated this ship...It took out most of the ships I had handy, plus my brother's new orbital cannons. Six of them, which was how many it took to make a dent in your hull.

I finally resorted to using my mkI battle station. It did well at first, taking off part of the nose. But the darn impeders started working and stopping even my hellbores. I knocked off a few more good pieces and the fight lasted quite a while but even before your ship finally broke through my outer hull, the railguns had stripped me of most of my weapons.

This will not be in vain though. The mkII is being released soon and will be more of a match.

 Those weren't ready.

Awesome ship, if a bit long. Don't mind the aegis but so many weapons  it never stopped firing

Your ship is REALLY!!!! durable. It took my main cannon, all forward plasma beam emitters and my two forward twin barrel rail gun turrets to blast through an aegised protected section to get to the inner sections of the ship.

Plus....all those weapons made my shitty little computer lag so very badly. :(

The heavy shielding on the star dancer (my ship) could barely protect it under the onslaught of fire from your ship, when the battle was over i had all most no ablative armor left, the primary hull armor was wearing thin and the front of my ship was made into a smoking stump of twisted metal.

I enjoyed that fight greatly, i commend you sir for giving me an enjoyable battle.

Well its actually not uberly overpowered...It stands to reason in the 'rp' universe of BSF that the older races would be more advanced and seem invincible to the younger ones...Actually upon further testing I realized that if your ship can break aegis, you really only have to worry about the main gun. If anything the weapons would be underpowered when facing a comparable enemy...That said its still a pain in the ass to kill...
