The Warships of Starfall Enterprises

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

I don't think the point beam is the best thing to put on the Alien Bezerker, they insta-kill ships sometimes you know.

Eh? It's Point Defense. How is it insta-killing ships?

Admittedly, a lot of my alien ships use Point Beams, but they're realtively easy to overwhelm, and IMO are the alien's answer to having very very few Deflector ships.

Sure is. I'll be doing a smaller update in this post... various pirate ships. I don't make a lot of pirate ships, mostly because I tend to make them and toss them into the default Terran stuff. This will probably be the last set of true Pirate stuff you'll see from me, anything else new in this style will simply be given the "Terran" designation, for simplicity. I've also updated to .81c and resaved all my ships as well, so there should be no more version clashes.

From Right to Left, top to bottom, they are: Pirate Combat Freighter, Pirate Harasser, Pirate Drone Carrier, Pirate Gunboat, Pirate Hyperion Freighter

Image

~~~
Pirate Combat Freighter: After a successful pirate raid ended with the acquisition of several choice bits of Terran armor and weaponry, the pirates decided to make the most of what they'd gotten by assembling large numbers of cheap, decently powerful ships from it. Made to engage at close range, each Freighter is armed with 4 Pulse Cannons, and 2 Beamers to cut through point defense. In a rare move for the pirates, they also acquired a cache of deflectors and have mounted them on the ships for better survivability with higher-tech Terran ships. A pair of Particle guns provide active defense mechanisms.
Core:
HP: 250
Speed: 2.50
Turning: .70
Accel: .10
Armament:
4 Pulse Guns
2 Beamers
2 Deflectors
2 Particle Guns
~~~

Pirate Disrupter: With a schematic based loosely off of the Terran Tmolus, and equipped with the lower tech the Pirates acquired from raids, this Pirate gunship, mounting a Frosch Disruptor along with a set of Beamer weapons, actually brings a serious threat to the battlefield if unchecked. With the offensive power and advantages that Beamer weapons bring, along with auxillary Pulse Guns, the high energy output of the ship has precluded the use of Deflector modules, and the ship instead relies on Flak Cannons to defend itself.

Core:
HP: 275
Speed: 2.25
Turning: .70
Accel: .06

Armament:
2 Beamers
2 Shock Beamers
2 Pulse Guns
1 Frosch Gun
2 Flak Cannons

~~~
Pirate Drone Carrier: A simple ship, essentially the counterpart to the Aliens' Drone Carrier. Light point defense and paper thin armor shields a quartet of drone launchers. There's not much else to say about it. It's a support ship, clearly, and the drones are uses for pinpoint strikes on modules and weapons.
Core:
HP: 100
Speed: 1
Turning: 1
Accel: .02
Armament:
4 Demeter Launchers
2 Particle Guns
~~~

Pirate Gunboat: An offshoot of the Harasser above, this Pirate ship mounts only a single Flak Cannon, and equips longer range harassment weapons instead, in the form of Blasters and Missile Pods. They're typically used to defend Drone Carriers, or other fragile targets, from longer range. Terran HQ usually answers these threats in kind: Blaster heavy models, such as the Hestia Destroyer, are typically dispatched to deal with these.

Core:
HP: 275
Speed: 2.20
Turning: .60
Accel: .05

Armament:
2 Missile Launchers
2 Blasters
2 Pulse Guns
1 Flak Cannon

~~~
Pirate Hyperion Freighter: (Disclaimer: This ship is probably overpowered. I'd say it is. Definitely. It's more a whimsy ship, and an attempt at making a superweapon that was sort of balanced.) This modified Combat Frieghter exists for one purpose and one purpose only: To tow the Alien's latest superweapon. When the Terran Fleet Admiral along with Major Hong stole the original superweapon, a more mobile and immediately deployable version was created. This "Hyperion Cannon" resembles a massive Tachyon Repeater, though it is far far more destructive. Requiring two auxiliary engines just to keep it running properly, along with requiring any and all energy that would go to powering typical weapon systems, this intense bit of Alien Tech outputs no less than *one hundred* massively sized, hypercharged Tachyon blasts, and does so with impressive speed. The only defense the ship as is the armored plates, and a set of easily overwhelmed particle guns. In the proper situation though, it rarely needs defense, as its opponent has typically been destroyed long before it has fired a return volley.
Core:
HP: 300
Speed: 1.50
Turning: .50
Accel: .10
Armament:
4 Particle Guns
1 Hyperion Cannon*: Tachyon Repeater with 0 Fire Rate, 50 damage, 1800 reload, 1000 range, 100 clipsize, and 500 HP.
2 Hyperion Reactors*: Renamed Boosters, no stat changes.
Here's a download link at least. It contains every pirate ship I've made, and because of categorying reasons, it's also got th15's default Hybrid Skirmisher in there. That one ain't mine, but it got lumped in because it's a pirate ship.
Those actually look balanced with the canon ships.
The designs are pretty nice too. Fits the pirate theme well.
It seems like such a base craft that the Terrans would modify it everywhich way.)
Mostly I'm just curious if people would care to see the variants I've made, heh, or if they would prefer only totally unique ships.
Quoting this again. There's a LOT of variants. If I did this, I would probably only snip pictures of my favorite variants of each. But I don't want to go through the effort if no one's interested in canon variants, heh. Otherwise I'll try to get the motivation going to post some of my Terran fleet... very big. -.-
I would be interested in seeing some of your canon ship variants... once I've finished the third ship for the thing I'm doing, I'm pondering making a couple of canon ship variants myself. It'd be nice to see what you've come up with.
It's late, and I don't have time to type up stats and descriptions for every ship here, sorry. I've taken pictures of every ship in the package, including the ones that have already been posted. If you've already gotten my Damascus Dreadnought, this folder will have another copy of it; both are identical, feel free to overwrite it or delete it.
From left to right, top to bottom: Row 1: Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Argus, Artemis, Atropos. Row 2: Blaster Array, Pulse Array, Centaur, Clotho, Cyclops Battle Station. Row 3: Damascus, Dionysus, Disciple.
Image
From left to right, top to bottom: Row 1: Gaia (Has slight parenting issues, sorry), Hades, Haphaestus, Hera, Heracles Battle Station. Row 2: Hermes, Iliad, Karsus, Kraken, Lakhisis. Row 3: Medusa, Myrmidon Battle Station, Oceanus, Odysseus, Persephone. Row 4: Phalanx, Poseidon, Prometheus, Satyr. Row 5: Zeus.
Image
EDIT: The pictures don't want to seem to inline. Sigh. Copy/pasting into the address bar should work though. Sorry.
~~~

Apologies for using MegaUpload. The pack, when zipped, was 171 kb. =/ Too big to upload onto the site. Also: Apologies for not giving stats and layouts and etc of the ships, I simply don't have the time to do so. Maybe when I get moved and settled in, I'll take the time to go through and produce detailed flavor for each ship. IN theory, each ship here is relatively balanced to the canon ships strength, and should be reasonably defeatable by the canon ships with player strategy. The exceptions are: Atropos, Centaur, Cyclops Battle Station, and Damascus. You will notice that Gaia is a "upgrade" of the Cronus. I apologize for the parenting issues, whoever made the Cronus in the "Offical Ship" folder that is packaged with BSF now, made it incorrectly and I did not notice. Future Cronus designs and variants are free of this parenting bug. The Lakhsis, Atropos, and Clotho are designed to be used together, as The Three Fates. They are remake/variants of the Hecate. It seemed prudent to give them all real names instead of letter designations, in following with the "established lore".

I think that's just about it. Hopefully if you give me a bit I'll also upload my massive pack of variants.

This is again loaded on MegaUpload, apologies. It's almost 500 kbs. These are all custom variants of canon ships, and should, again, be more or less in line with the canon ships. Some of them are obviously more powerful than others, and some I wonder if they should really have been done, in light of other similar ships. However, in the interest of variety, I've made them all anyways. Some have extra parts and pieces, some simply have weapon swaps, others have had purposes changed altogether. I hope you like them all, and hopefully these ships and my other pack give you something new to play around with. There's certainly been a lot of work put in. They're all named according to the current naming scheme, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc, etc. Some have more variants than others, I believe I've made the most variants for the Hestia. Also included: Charybdis variants, despite the original ship being removed from the game, I've included some variants that you'll hopefully find more useful or fun to play with.

Some ships have ship descriptions in game, most don't. It's a section I often overlook when doing ships, Sorry about that.

I'll edit this post with some pictures, though no names. The ships should be obvious what they are by looks alone.

EDIT: Okay, I lied, I'll name them, heh. Theres no Athena/Hestia variants in this pack. The variants for those ships are in my Terran Ship Pack, as the Three Fates, Apothos, Clotho, and Lakhisis.

Picture 1, in rows: Aedon, Arcas, Charybdis, Cronus, Enyo

Image

Picture 2 in rows: Helio, Hestia, More Hestia, Moira, Oenone, Peitho

Image

Picture 3 in rows: Proteus, Thetis, Tmolus, Zelus

A, er, shameless bump, I guess. I'm hoping the fact that it's on megaupload isn't deterring anyone from downloading. In case you don't know how to work MegaUpload: You click the link, click "Free Download" (As opposed to premium), wait for the timer to go to zero, then click download. You probably lso need to put in a 3 letter code at the top right corner of the screen.

Yes, it's messy, but it's the best I could do on short notice.

Won't be around for forums for however long, since I'll be moving tomorrow. Hopefully when I get back, depending on how long it takes, I can get to work on some new ships and such.

Bumping because I've moved in, and hopefully I can get back into ship designing soonish. I've got a few ships, but since they were made with the random scrapper thing, I've posted them i there, and they aren't really part of any "canon" ship pack.

That and there's a lot of new people, hehe.
