The amount of 'storyline liberalness' going on is retarded. In game, Mira would never have let Adi get anywhere within 3 meters of her. Not to mention that hand-to-hand combat is her preferred method of fighting. I'm putting any posts on hold until Normandy can get this shit straight.
You can't just decide that some things happen.

He stepped closer again. He was almost touching her rifle.
Much quieter, making sure that no one over the radio would hear, he continued.
"It's been quite difficult for me to justify those deaths, and I'd really quite like it if you didn't give me any reason for another, ahem, accident.
He smiled at the shocked expression on Mira's face. Swiftly and gently, he pushed the rifle away from him. He stepped closer again, to the point where she couldn't maneuver her AR, and grasped her firmly by the shoulder so she couldn't move away. He glanced around, and much to his liking, no one had noticed the little commotion. He pulled out his knife with his other hand and held the dull side to her throat.
"Now. I think we can agree that any further death is unnecessary. And besides, I'm the only medic we've got." He twisted his arm to show her the stitches from the birds. "Convenient, isn't it?"
He pushed her down, and kicked the AR out of her hands. He walked calmly over to the MP33, and pointed it at Mira.
"It's always funny how quickly these things turn around, isn't it?"
He holstered the gun, and walked off.
