The Warships of Starfall Enterprises

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Compared to a lot of others on the board it's actualy fairly tiny. Kazauel and Seraph have most of the monopoly on the really big ones, heh.

It took me far too long... working on little bits here and there over like two weeks. I couldn't finish it at first until th15 fixed the depthing issues with large numbers of pieces, but once he did, it was far easier to finish off.

Don't forget me; I've made some monsters too!

EDIT: In fact...

Terrain Spawning? How?

Well, at any rate, those ships are AWESOME!
I'm downloading all of them now, can't wait to see how they fare against my Beam Cannon :twisted: .

Well, they're all mostly designed to fit in more or less with the standard ships so ... don't expect anything major... <.<

Also: I haven't uploaded any of them but the Damascus. The next posts I make will have zip files, each one having the corresponding ship pack. The Alien post will have an Alien ship pack, the Terrans (by far the largest), and the Pirates (which don't have very many simply because I end up lumping most of them into the Terran file..) ... I've tried to keep the general feel of the ships already in game... I.E. Alien ships only have Alien tech, alien parts, and no deflectors except Aegis. Terran ships utilizes deflectors, Terran tech, very rarely some Alien tech.. Pirate Ships are much like the Terrans, but use lower grade weapons and are lower quality (in speed, accel, and turning) than the average Terran equivalent. The Aliens I've tried to make a bit faster, better accel, and better turning than their Terran equivalents.

And by the Terrain Spawning, th15 meant the background of the Damascus shots: The planets, the meteors and asteroids, etc.

Assuming you have .80 or above, in Sandbox mode, there's a button that looks like a question mark, next to the spawn in buttons. All those cool miscellaneous functions can be wroked from there, when you click it.

Finally got around to making this, so... here's the new Alien ships I've made so far. The end of this post will have a .zip file containing every Alien ship I've made so far, as well. The Drone Scout Swarm was lost in a data leak on my computer, so I apologize for the "Swarm" craft not being in the pack. They hadn't worked out quite as well as I'd liked anyways. Disclaimer: All of these ships were made in .80 or before. I have NOT upgraded yet, due to seeing the numerous amounts of problems with .81. So I apologize if this causes any issues with your game.

From left to right, top to bottom, the ships are (pardon the uncreative names, I'm following the BSF naming conventions.): Alien Berserker, Alien Corvette, Alien Crescent Frigate, Alien Destroyer, Alien Guardian, Alien Hammerhead, Alien Quicksilver Cruiser, Alien Skirmisher, Alien Spearhead, Alien Warblade
Image

~~~
Alien Berserker: The Alien Berserker is a heavier class of Alien ships, designed to hold their own in the thick of it. Compared to the Terra Standard Hestia, a Berserker is slightly slower, but has a tighter turn radius. It mounts four tachyon cannons on side platforms in order to increase the firing arc presented to the enemy. A pair of scatterbeamers is mounted on the inside prow for frontal engagements... In the rear, 2 Tachyon Drivers are capable of 360 degree turning. Like most Alien ships, there is no active Terran Deflector technology, and no Aegis tech deflectors either. Instead, there is a trio of Point Beam Defense Lasers. Preliminary combats with the Berserkers show them to be relatively hardy, and like many other alien ships, capable of affecting the area's gravity with an Impeder mechanism.
Core:
HP: 300
Speed: 2.40
Turning: .80
Accel: .09
Armament:
4 Tachyon Cannons
2 Tachyon Drivers
2 Scatterbeamers
3 Point Beams
1 Gravitic Impeder
~~~

Alien Corvette: This oddball Alien cruiser is nimble, both in turning and speed. It mounts 4 Aegis deflectors on the front of the ship, and otherwise sports no point defense. Its only method of attack are 6 Sidewinder Cannons placed on the side of the ship. So far, Terran HQ suggests sending smaller ships to combat the Corvette, as larger ships will find themselves pounded by repeated Sidewinder blasts. Smaller ships can close the gap and attack while the Sidewinders harmlessly fly around their rear. There is a gap in the Aegis shielding that would allow a pinpoint accurate weapon to strike the core directly. Alternatively, side and rear strikes are also possible, though require careful maneuvering around the nimble Corvette, and then dismantling the ship's armor.

Core:
HP: 200
Speed: 3.0
Turning: 1.0
Accel: .10

Armament:
6 Sidewinders
4 Aegis Deflectors

~~~
Alien Crescent Frigate: The Crescent Frigate was so named after its first encounter with Terran Proteus patrol craft in an as yet unexplored sector. It is unique in being the only Alien ship to display broadside tactics so far, and mechanics place it as similar inbuild to the Arcas class carrier. The Crescent Frigate is veritably bristling with weapons from any angle. The front and rear contain Pulsar Bombardment systems, 2 each, and the broadsides fire the namesake of the ship: 3 Tachyon Drivers fire the crescent shaped projectiles, and 2 Tachyon cannons provide backup. The "prongs" of the ship contain and array of Point Beam lasers as well, standard fare for Alien ship defense in lieu of Deflectors. The ship itself is somewhat slow, though Alien tech has obviously given it an internal increase over the fleet's own broadsiders. Terran Fleet HQ requests that a Crescent Frigate be captured intact if possible for requisition of Alien Technology for Terran vessels.
Core:
HP: 300
Speed: 1.8
Turning: .5
Accel: .05
Armament:
6 Tachyon Drivers
4 Tachyon Cannons
4 Pulsar Cannons
4 Point Beams
~~~

Alien Destroyer: This Alien ship appears to demonstrate how the Aliens themselves are adapting to Terran technology. The Terran standby of ablative armor is seen in use here, proving the Aliens' ability to adapt in the lack of standard Deflector technology. The ship itself sports a wide variety of weapons mounted in pairs. Two scatterbeamers, seen on many alien ships, make another appearance here. Two Demeter drones mounted in the center of the ship cause harassment fire. Two rearmounted Sidewinders give auxillary fire and press the attack from all sides. A pair of Tachyon Cannons add the standard firepower to the cruiser. The crowning ahcievement of the Destroyer is probably the Megabeam mounted center-rear of the ship. It has a narrow firing arc, but its massively long firing time allows it to shred Terran ships, especially broadsiders. The standard Impeder and pair of Point Beams round out the active defense of the ship.

Core:
HP: 275
Speed: 2.5
Turning: 1
Accel: .09

Armament:
2 Scatterbeamers
2 Tachyon Cannons
2 Sidewinders
2 Demeter Drones
1 MEgabeam
2 Point Beams
1 Gravitic Impeder

~~~
Alien Guardian: Seen briefly at the destruction of Fleet HQ, these ships are often sighted near so called "Sacred Ground". They're extremely hardy, and carry 2 unqiue Tachyon Cannons, modified for rapidfire, though this process has slowed down the overal reload period. Two rear-mounted wing scatterbeamers allow for flank coverage, though Terran HQ notes that it's nothing to be afraid of, and rear and flanking attacks, given the power of the rapidfire Tachyons, is still the best method of attack. 2 Demeter drones allow the Guardian to tie up point defense while unleashing a torrent of Tachyon bolts. It also contains a unique pointbeam system designed to fire 3 Pointbeams simultaneously. This Tribeam Defense Platform is what gives the Guardian its name, as a trio of Guardians can provide massive stopping power. Terran HQ recommends avoiding contact with Guardians if possible, due to their propensity to be seen guarding Alien holy sites. Terran HQ wishes to avoid more of a war than is already happening.
Core:
HP: 350
Speed: 2
Turning: .5
Accel: .05
Armament:
2 Gatling Tachyon Cannons*: Fire Rate 10, Clip Size 5, Reload 300, rest default.
2 Scatterbeamers
2 Demeter Drones
1 Tribeam Defense Platform*: 0 fire rate, Clip Size 3, rest default.
~~~

Alien Hammerhead: This ship was named after its module attachment. The Hammerhead Launcher fires longrange shotgun blasts capable of decimating Terran ships. It is extremely dangerous, and capable of firing from all angles. Terran HQ recommends the placement of a Peitho class deflector ship if possible to absorb the blow. Besides that, the rest of the ships armament is fairly basic. Two scatterbeamers and 2 Tachyon Cannons. A single center mounted Tachyon Driver provides additional firepower, but due to its speed can often be disregarded. The "Hammerheads" on the side of the ship mount special Repeater guns designed to output triple the average amount of bullets a normal repeatergun does, in the same timeframe. However, given the weakness of the charged particles the Repeater Guns fire, Terran HQ sees this particular bit of Alien tech as a small threat in the grand scheme. The standard duo of Point Beams rounds off the craft. No Deflectors on the ship, as typical.

Core:
HP: 325
Speed: 1.7
Turning: .80
Accel: .10

Armament:
2 Scatterbeamers
2 Tachyon Cannons
1 Tachyon Driver
6 Alien Repeaters*: 3 on each side, all three are stacked on top of each other to give the illusion of one weapon.
2 Point Beams
1 Hammerhead Launcher*: Renamed Gosling Launcher. I wanted to mod it to be able to fire twice on one full energy pool, but it wasn't working.

~~~
Alien Quicksilver Cruiser: An Alien patrol craft, lightly armed but speedy. Faster than any standard Terran ship save the Zelus, Zelus crews are oftne given the job of chasing these down and destroying them. Armed with 2 Scatterbeamers and a Pulsar Cannon, these craft prefer to engage from long distances, reserving the Scatterbeamers as last resort weapons. 2 Demeter Drones provide further longrange firing capability. A pair of Particle Gun defense systems finish off the craft. The missing Point Beams further push the craft into a harassment role, give a Particle Gun's substandard (when compared to Point Beams) job of interception. They may seem benign when in an engagement, but Terran pilots are warned that the Pulsar Cannon is capable of wearing down a ship quickly if ignored. Patrol Craft should be dispatched to take care of these threats.
Core:
HP: 150
Speed: 4.5
Turning: 3.5
Accel: .15
Armament:
2 Scatterbeamers
2 Demeter Drones
1 Pulsar Cannon
2 Particle Guns
~~~

Alien Skirmisher: Tiny. Nimble. Annoying. FAST. These are all words used by Terrna pilots who encounter the Skirmisher. Dashing around and speed unheard of by most craft, these tiny fighters sprint aroud an engagement. They appear to be similar to manned Demeter Drones, andpilots and crews report them to be just as annoying to take down. They sport a pair of Phase Bursters, which appear to be Alien Repeaters modified for pinpoint accuracy and slightly more damage. Luckily, the ships are fragile. Very fragile. One ace Zelus pilot managed to destroy 3 in one strafing run. Terran pilots are advised to lead their targets and aim well. It often only takes 1 to 3 shots to entirely destroy the fighter. Beam weapons are exceptionally useful against them. Terran crewmembers are advised to be careful of flying shrapnel after destroying one of these fighters.

Core:
HP: 25 (All sections modified to 10 HP)
Speed: 15 (!)
Turning: 6
Accel: .50

Armament:
2 Phase Bursters*: Alien Repeaters modified to 1 Clip Size, 0 Firing Rate, 10 damage, 30 Reload, 0 Shot Deviation, 500 range, 5 Turn Speed, and 5 HP.

~~~
Alien Spearhead: These ships are often seen at the frontlines of an Alien fleet, providing a unique active defense system. The Tachyon Shredder (functionally identical to a Lancet Beam) destroys oncoming ship weaponry, and the Spearhead Launcher fires waves of spear-shaped projectiles that both absorb enemy fire and impact Terran ships for damage. Twin Pulsar Cannons fill any open holes with bombardment stars, and the standard Tachyon cannons round out the ship. Compared to other brawlers n the Alie Fleet, however, the ship is rather lightly armed point defense wise, with only two standard Particle Guns. Terran HQ suspects this is due to the sophisticated amounts of energy required to set up and manage a Spearhead Launcher. HQ advises that one of these ships be captured, or at leat the Spearhead Launcher salvaged, for use in Terran ships.
Core:
HP: 300
Speed: 2.5
Turning: .75
Accel: .05
Armament:
2 Pulsar Cannons
2 Tachyon Cannons
1 Spearhead Launcher*: Tachyon Driver modified to 0 Fire Rate, 5 Clip Size, 10 Damage, 5 Deviation, and 3 Turn Speed. Rest default.
1 Tachyon Shredder*: Renamed Lancet Beam. No other changes.
2 Particle Guns
~~~

Alien Warblade: The Warblade was encountered early on in engagements with the Aliens. It's faster than the Hestia, and turns tighter aswell, but has less structural stability. The armament on it is fairly standard for Aliens, nothing too out of the ordinary. 4 Tachyon Cannons, 2 of them rearmounted to cover flanks and rear attacks. 2 cone mounted Scatterbeams for frontal strikes, Terran HQ notes that this is a common tactic in Alien ships. Demeter Drones fly harassment, and like the Destroyer, a Megabeam is mounted in lieu of a true modular attachment, again with the narrow firing arc. Standard paired Point Beam Defense is once again seen here as a replacement for Deflector Technology. Given the increased speed of the Warblade when compared to the Destroyer, the Megabeam can be considered a larger threat here, because the Warblade is more likely to maneuver into a favorable position to fire from. These are considered medium-high priority targets on a battlefield and should be dealt with as such.

Core:
HP: 250
Speed: 3
Turning: 1
Accel: .08

Armament:
4 Tachyon Cannons
2 Scatterbeamers
2 Demeter Drones
1 Megabeamer
2 Point Beams

I like 'em, with possible exception to the Corvette. 4 Aegis seems like overkill, especially since a lot of their space overlaps.

The core's right exposed, though, so I don't see anything wrong personally.

I like the lot of 'em. Fits the alien feel well.

I dislike the Terran crossbars on the Crescent Frigate, but I was stuck trying to figure out a way to mount the pieces like I wanted, so I eded up using some eyesore Terran bits there...

I've also realized that the Spearhead is offcenter by a few pixels and an angle. Bah. If anyone wants the fixed version of it, let me know and I'll upload it separately.
