Galactic neighbours to the short tempered, aggressive and impulsive Tri'K'Thor [TKT], the cooler, slower but more technically and technologically able Xineras have long been at war with them, though neither has ever managed to tip the balance in their favour. In the last decade the already cooling conflict faded into a wary stalemate, with neither side able to gain a decisive advantage over the other. Both races turned to research and development of new weapons and defensive technologies as they waited, and it seemed as if a new chapter of warfare was about to commence.
The Xineras Imperial Navy's [XIN] weaponry focuses heavily on pulse lasers and massed missile salvoes. They also extensively employ ECM missiles, designed to confuse and distract point defence systems and allow the armed missiles to reach their target.
The latest modern XIN ship design was intended as a homage to the Xineras' avian lineage, though there are calls from within the Navy administration that these are supposed to be warships, and not some cultural or historic display. None the less, each ship features extensive internal compartmentalisation, forming an armoured skeleton from which the modules, systems, weapons and armour are essentially 'hung'.
Corvette
An evil little ship, what the corvette lacks in shielding and firepower it makes up for with manoeuvrability and speed. Never intended for large scale engagements, the corvette is used for patrols and peacekeeping. In combat it flanks the enemy, pummelling them with short ranged missile fire before closing to rake the target's rear with its micro laser batteries. Despite it's fragility, in several note'worthy conflicts they have proven instrumental in attaining victory as they swept through enemy lines to destroy engine systems and shield generators before finally going out in a blaze of glory and fire.

Destroyer
The smallest XIN ship to wield laser cannons, the destroyer adopts an escort role. Easily able to vaporise pirates and keep colonies safe (and under control), in fleet level engagements the destroyer uses its speed to flank whilst its two shield generators protect it from harm. Once in position its four beam cannons can demolish rear armour, making it a useful (though somewhat fragile) fleet asset. Equipped with both medium and short ranged missiles, as well as five micro laser emplacements for multi-role combat.

Cruiser
A big step up in terms of tonnage and armour, the cruiser was designed for combat patrols at the height of the XIN - TKT conflict. Agile for a ship of its size and armed with more missile bays and two heavier beam cannons than the destroyer, as well as boasting improved point defence and shields, this ship also serves as a viable light asset in fleet engagements, though its armour cannon withstand capital weaponry for any length of time.

Heavy Cruiser
A development of the cruiser hull, the heavy cruiser features extended swept froward 'wings' housing heavy beam cannons, an armoured central 'beak' and even more missile batteries, point defence and shield generators than the cruiser. Intended and used as a small-scale fleet main combatant, this ship packs an enormous punch in a well armoured packet.

Battlecruiser
Though it bears the 'cruiser' in its name, during its construction this ship was intended to be the fleet's main warship. Its spread wings, part aesthetic, part cooling system, were intended to symbolise the soaring of the Xineras people above conflict as this ship was designed to crush current TKT ship technology.
However, the design process became bogged down with delays and bureaucracy, leading the ship to be released eight years behind schedule and lacking some of its intended arsenal, and coming to face a prepared and upgraded TKT fleet. Though it was no longer the 'end all' solution the XIN had hoped for, the battlecruiser was to become a powerful adversary in all levels of fleet combat, unleashing swarms of missiles and searing laser barrages from comfortable ranges, protected by an exceptionally heavily armoured beak and extensive shield arrays.

Battleship
In the battleship the XIN has found the answer to all its prayers. Packing a prototype capital beam cannon and a large array of heavy beam cannons, the battleship is the XIN's capital killer. Some say that this class was made redundant even when it was conceived by a lack of substantial large vessels being produced by the Tri'K'Thor, but such dissent was overruled. Why wait for the enemy to build capital ships first?
Naturally, any ship equipped with heavy beams is also highly effective against any ship that is willing to sit in their fire arcs, so the battleship has been able to prove its worth several times to doubters. Very little can withstand the fury of the entire ship's laser battery focused on in - in simulations even dreadnought-class armour melts under its fury, though it takes more than a single battleship to take even have a hope of succeeding in such an engagement.
The battleship not only houses capital lasers, but it also deploys huge capital-class torpedoes, for when blowing stuff up with lasers just isn't enough. The sight of this ship swooping down on the battlefield has been known to make TKT commanders flee, and those that have not have faced an incredible barrage of missile and laser fire than as often as not makes them wish they had.

In case you missed the references, this fleet is intended to fit with the TKT cannon (see the sig), though some balancing is needed. I made this fleet first, but got bored of lasers, and lest it in a state of limbo (hence TKT having no hated lasers... yet)
Any comments would be appreciated after the stony silence that followed TKT's release (to generic? meh), though I plan on fixing the Battleship's colour scheme and the layering error behind the head.
