Working on a few tweaks for the Harkonnen... and I think I'll drop the Gosling.

A dedicated Gosling ship could be fun, though... :D

I realized that our ships were gonna have a hard time standing up to the epic firepower aimed at us... so why don't we just make it aim at something else?

I think he meant *intelligent* thoughts :P.

Could be useful for soaking fire... I made a ship that spams platforms and it handled a Nagaya-2 without any conventional armament.

Platforms make amazing distractions... plus the damage output is nothing to sneeze at.

Also, the Atreides can do stupid amounts of damage for a long-range artillery boat.

Harkonnen 0.4, Blaster Variant


Trades 4x Flak, Gosling, and .04 accel points for a vast array of blasters that overwhelm most PD rather easily whiling dealing impressive damage, and 2x Particle Guns

Here's a little flanker that I've christened Zoom. Target profile is minimal, and deflector is utilized.


I haven't done much testing with the weaponry, I don't really have anything to test against.

Three things are parented to the rear section 17. (if they aren't then it breaks the logical parenting rule)

Move deflector over core and win.

Its not bad, its just not very useful.

You have 200 range, 20 acc and a huge speed. You won't be able to accelerate fast enough to max that speed unless you're farther away. Also, if oyu increase ACC so it can, it'll be too fast for the AI and do that annoying stopping thing.
