Frigates are balanced by needing more sections (which they have to pay a LOT for), just in order to hold stuff...
giving smaller ships a couple of extra weapons is not the goal, and most ships that have to worry about weapon room are (if the enemy is able to destroy a central section) are going to die any way... so the whole section shock part is more or less worthless,
Basically, it makes frigates (which are probably one of the more usefull classes anyway...) even stronger while doing jack squat for anything else...

Does anyone have links to past boss-like ships, e.g. the juggernaught or motherships, that could be used for testing purposes?

Out of curiousity, why are Dusks now limited to 4/ship? They have weaker DPS than blasters per point (~0.8 as effecient) and are easier to PD against, so their only advantage is aegis busting, which the limit nerfs.

perhaps the reason you said is the main reason. also, pure dusk spam would be able to kill more or less any section, so he probably wanted to avoid it (even while weaker than blasters being able to bust aegis and deflectors so easily might be a bit too good)

... it does 98 damage every 84 frames. 30 frames = 1 second. It does 35DPS.

The weapon balance spreadsheet says that the DPS of a regular blaster is 10.3 DPS.

So I'm wondering exactly what you're refering to.
Don’t worry it has airbags.

I'm all for a later deadline, since I'm lacking ways to communicate, and people are joining late.

Sorry about the delay. I got caught by the trouble with automatic updates and ZoneAlarm, then work.

Is there anyone for which the 27th does not work as a deadline?
