Yeah, that's pretty much it. The Railguns rotate a bit, which kinda screws up their appearance, but they have a low turn speed, and the default radius, so it's not too bad.TormakSaber wrote:The turret design is probably my favorite part. Do you allow the railguns to rotate? I guess you have the Megatachs as 0 arc so they don't rotate, and 0 range so they don't fire?

I'm working on a Fleet of ships, which won't technically belong to Seraphim Industries, because... well, these ships aren't going to be anywhere near as powerful. I won't say stock-balanced, 'cause they probably won't be, but they won't be anywhere near as uber as my usual fare.
Here's what I've got so far. It's 5am, now, and I'm going to sleep. Lemme know what you think of it so far, guys.

The stretching looks sort of bad (in comparison to the rest of the ship), but the main bodies of the ships look great, as usual.

I am plotzing (a good thing) over the colour scheme. By the way how do you get the white ouline around those sections? My guess would be a slightly larger piece under the original?

You have no idea how funny this sounds when you're delerious from sleep loss... I'm sure I'll wake up tommorrow and wonder what I found the slightest bit funny, but now I definetely have a case of the lulz...Auriak wrote:I am plotzing (a good thing) over the colour scheme.
But on to the topic at hand, Anna' fleet WIP. Damn, what can I say. You, more than just about anyone on these forums manage to build ships that look like more than an amalgamation of parts in the shape of a ship. I think it can be partly accredited to the contrasting color schemes and those bright outlines you use, but so many other users here seem to miss it entirely.

Thanks for the praise. The bright outlines are actually more Novercalis's fault. He's not around much any more, but I got some great ideas from looking at his ships. Which is amusing, because he said I was the inspiration for his ship building, and in turn, I took inspiration from his ships. The contrasting colour schemes are mostly thanks to Talhydras bitching at me to use more colour on my ships.Fuiste wrote: But on to the topic at hand, Anna' fleet WIP. Damn, what can I say. I'll be including a How-To guide on that, in the Anna Guide to Good Shipbuilding, once I get back to work on it.Droid wrote:Hotness.
How does one do those outlines...I wonder, I wonder.
