.... By using a ship that I could have made in 5 minutes, slapping aegis all over it, giving it 8K HP so my lasers can't pop them, and then using highly modded damage and low reload railguns.

It's a game with no rules. The only 'guidelines' are user-enforced (loosely).

We know what he did, we know it's not impressive. There's no forum member here that thinks your ships suck because an aegis-laser-thing with no stat under 1000 could beat it.

He's obviously new. Don't let him get your underwear in a bunch over what he can spit out of the shipmaker. My first ship was so overpowered, I refuse to post it here.

Just make a tiny core ship with obscene movement/HP stats, and tack on a constant-beam 10,000 damage mining beam. That shouldn't even take you 3 minutes.
