Ok, thanks! :D

Also another question, how do you get that big picture with all the sprites in it, do you copy and paste all of them in one big or?

Its just basic photoshop work and there's several actual methods to do it but yes, that is a single image.

I copied and pasted the sprites into it. I lined it up neatly with a snap to grid feature.

With MoltenM making weapon sprites, I decided to give it a try.
While his are more recognizable weapons, the ones that I will make are less Terran looking and more alien.

Here is the first. A basic single barreled turret.

It looks flat. Real flat. It doesn't look much like a gun at all, more like a wierd starbursty spikey thingy.

That's a problem with my sprites. (The flat appearance) It seems to be a hill that I am still trying to cross.

I am thinking of trying a different approach. Also, considering trying to make doodads.

These sprites are meant to be used on moving sections, such as turrets or triggered movements. When set to additive blending for the section and the "effect" in the "eff" tab with a fake aegis, they resemble a "glowball" fairly well. When used as sections, they allow a shipbuilder to put the appearance of doodads on their moving ship parts without the spawning errors that occur with normal doodads.

These are meant to function as sections to imitate doodads or markings. Most of them are small, so they will not spawn when their parent section is destroyed, keeping some of the realism intact.
To whom it may concern: Do not be retarded and make a ship out of them, please.

Enjoy.
Comments and critique are welcome.

See "Treachery". Each colored "glowball" on the ship is actually a FASDS section.
