Re: Previous versions of BSF
each and every version is slow, just go to options and turn things like interpolation off, should speed things up.
Blame GM for this.

Re: Previous versions of BSF
Indeed, previous BSF iterations before the advent of sb3s, custom weapons and custom sections were much more faster due to less features being processed.
I have packaged my copy of BSF v84 and uploaded for your pleasure. You will find that it will run much faster then BSF v90, albeit with less features and bug fixes.

Re: Previous versions of BSF
thanks for the upload and i don't care about the bug fixes as long as it runs fast.
EDIT:Where are the folders for custom ships and stuff?

Re: Previous versions of BSF
I'd actually like to play some of the older versions too, to see how BSF has changed since its inception and which versions were recognized by the gaming companies, etc. Also I have a ship in SB2 format that I can't open with my version of ShipMaker.
It would be nice if perhaps someone could create a "previous versions" archive on the website somewhere the way some other software producers do.

Re: Previous versions of BSF
Why can't we turn off the ship glow? It seems useless and laggy to me!
Also, is there a way to convert the format of a ship built in an older version of ship maker into a more recent format? That'd be great, because I have a bunch of old ships I made before I downloaded the new version of BSF.

Re: Previous versions of BSF
Yes, but it requires having Chaos Theory's old BSF mod and a few different versions of BSF Community Edition (Basically the closed beta for many of BSF's newest features.) It's much easier to just take a screenshot of the ship, set it as the background in the shipmaker, and rebuild the ship using the picture as a reference.Ramoth wrote::Also, is there a way to convert the format of a ship built in an older version of ship maker into a more recent format? Re: Previous versions of BSF
I would do that, anyway. That's how I make hulls of the regular ships from the game and fit them with custom weapons.AidanAdv wrote:Yes, but it requires having Chaos Theory's old BSF mod and a few different versions of BSF Community Edition (Basically the closed beta for many of BSF's newest features.) This topic is over a year old. I very much doubt anybody cares at this point.
