Reducing bullet speed increases unguided projectile weapon cost. Increasing bullet speed dramatically also causes hit detection to become unpredictable. And by "unpredictable" I mean "liable to skip sections, namely shields".

I suggest strongly recommend creating seperate calculators for guided/nonguided/beam/etc. weapons rather than trying to have one "do it all" calculator.

Biggums: Put the shield sprite you used in a folder called TBE_Shields in your custom sprites directory, okay? That's where it's meant to go. And then have the ship load the sprite from there.

Uh... looking at your ship, and the weapons on it, I'm thinking you probably need to just stay out of this tournament until you're more familiar with BSF and reading the rules. All the guns on your ship alone are worth over 1500 mass and 1000 power, nevermind all the mounts you'd need for them, and it would appear you didn't know how to set up the shields correctly.

wrong, my blasters are less then 200 mass and power and my gat pulses are less then 250 mass and 150 power.

EDIT: checked my pulses, 50 mass and 155 power.

And you have 10 of the blasters and 2 gat pulses. Meaning in total it would be over 1500 mass and 1000 power for all the weapons, and at least 3 large mobile mounts to hold that many guns, which is 600 mass.

Okay, he's the facts. You've got 10 blasters which cost 145 mass and 100 energy. That uses up 1450 mass and 1000 power right there. Guns need to be on mounts. To carry that many guns, you'd need three large mobile mounts. That's an extra 600 mass. That's 2050 of your mass used right there, leaving you with 1550, not counting engines or shields or health, and based on the speed you've got your ship at, you'd use even more for your engine and its mount, and your ship has got 1800 hp not counting the shield (which is set up wrong), and 1800 hp = 1800 mass.

So basically, even with just the 10 blasters and the HP, not counting shields or engines, you're already using 3850 mass. When you only have 3600.
