Cheesy, the teamsprite doodad is meant to go in the Doodads folder. And you forgot to include it in your download.

Fix that. Now.

Okay, I've decided to join the beauty pagent with this here cruiser.

Name: Qui'zenon IV
Role: Station Bombardment Cruiser

The only weapon of any real importance is the main gun, a modified pulsar used as a pulsed laser. (the AI doesn't particularly like firing it)
It should be just nimble enough to bring the gun to bear on most targets.
The other guns are primarily for fending off small destroyers and fightercraft.

I think I've included all the necessary sprites, lemme know if something's missing. (using the shipmaker export function missed a few.)

Ok, here's my entry for the Limited Stock category.
Ship name: Bufo-Bufo
Type: Blunderbuss class Battlewagon
Primary power: 2x REALLY big elastic bands, so big they're almost bungee cords
APU: Precision made clockwork, 8 day movement, 2 inch mainspring. Tried chainweight escapement, doesn't work too well in zero G
Weapons: 6x flak guns, 8x demeter launchers, 1x Bloody Hell rocket launcher, 1x twin rail, 1x Weird Beam
Safety: No shields, unless you count the installshield, 2x escape pods, unfortunately mounted so far from the crew areas they're really not much
use...
This is the very latest in military technology released from the Bodgett & Leggit shipyards, supplier of choice to all major governments who need
high firepower at low low prices.

My entry into the Limited Realism category.

Maedhros class Fast Attack Destroyer

The Maedhros is a one-of-a-kind ship. Designed as a fast Destroyer class vessel by Hightower Engineering, they were supposed to become the main destroyer vessel for the Intergalactic Alliance, just before the epidemic of the To'Hol Venaari plague forced it to be dismantled.

Maedhros is armed with two wing-mounted artillery cannons, a dual Pulse Beam emitter and a 360° rotating Particle Cannon. These weapons give it a first strike advantage on longer ranges, while being versatile enough to work on shorter ranges as well. It's main power, however, comes from it's large engine banks that make it a lot faster than any known destroyer type vessel at the time.

Not much is known about these aliens, in fact all we know for sure is that they like bizarre toppings on their pizzas, and they absolutely [i]HATE[i] reality television. Rumours abound, that they came here to destroy our galaxy to prevent further transmissions of big brother, only to arrive just as the final series finished. Now with time on their hands they spend it annoying pizza delivery services on account of the fact it's impossible to deliver to the dark side of the moon in under 30 minutes. Attempts to decode their ship to ship transmissions has proved largely futile, the only words understandable being "Simon Cowell" and "cheesegrater".
Species: Unknown
Power source: Unknown
Weaponry: Flailing Spinning Energy Thingy, Maser PD

Components used: Kae_shn. HM_rocketbits, rest is stock SM

Right, I've edited the shp file and tested it. Loads fine now. Here's the edited zip. I won't delete the first zip in case it screws with your download link on the first page.

You seem to have one of your sprites stored in a second folder or something, Son Tzu. Not sure what's going on, though. I only got this error when I loaded the ship in-game, not when I loaded the .sb4. Perhaps I should try resaving it and see if that fixes it.

Also getting some really weird errors when parts of it get blown up.

Thats the bug you get when you turn off section glow in shipmaker, and yeah i also had difficulty with that particular sprite.

Hmm, sorry SWS, I normally test my ships to destruction for just such reasons. Just did so now, didn't get any errors. I did turn off the glow in SM, didn't know this causes bugs for some. Also have it turned down to zero in the game, maybe this is why I don't get error. I did find a "problem" with Bufo-Bufo, checked it 'cos glow is turned off with it too. I've left a module on it that shouldn't be there (souped up nanomatrix). I just had it on so the ship didn't get asswhupped in sandbox while I was observing weapon/section behaviour. I'll edit that post now.
edit:@ SWS, apologies once again, found that HM bits and a few others were double foldered. I have now rectified this. It's forced me to redo my sprite ini and have to do some partial rebuilds... :roll:

To scale with Jwa's star trek ships. It is NOT balanced to them, however.

Edit* Ugh, I forgot to put Blackhart's sprites in the zip. I'll upload those seperately when I can.
