Wine is a windows emulator for Linux (and Max OS too I think).

As I recall, the full name is "WINE Is Not an Emulator". ;)

Major problems downloading.

I get a 404 error with the primary exe.

The exe mirror has some sort of corruption error -quote- "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the setup files"

Attempting the zip now.

EDIT: The primary zip worked, not sure if the mirror does though.

Is it just me, or do none of the ships animate their dodads in this version?

EDIT: Now I can't get into the game at all... :?
ERROR in
action number 1
of Other Event: Game Start
for object GUI_MainTitle:

Error defining an external function.
Seems we still need a seperate Vista installer after all...

Trek: That particular error seems to be related to computer hibernation. Try uninstalling the game, restart the computer fully then re-install.

M123: I'll check the links.

Argh, thats what happened to me. You need to do what th15 said: restart and redownload.

Two small problems with the new shipmaker:

Why the hell did you reintroduce left-click-move on the core piece?!

The 'glow' around selected sections has been removed... why?

There does seem to be an odd bug involving mirrored sections and oddities with pieces not being selected properly, yes.

Arg that was unintentional. Oh well, you'll have to use the old version (I'll put it up somewhere) or wait for 3.0.

What's with the gradient? Distance to core or something?

I hope it's toggleable. :?
