So, I was downloading the new sprites and build a small ship with them. Then I wanted to test them ingame. The result looks like this:

Is there a way to fix this?

for each sprite you must do something called disable glow, which is in the EFF section in shipbuilder, and turn it on this must be done for each new sprite unless someone else knows a better way but thats the way i do it.

There is a much better way. You can just go into the options menu of the game and set the values for the "glow" color to zero.

Thanks for the advice with the "black" glow.
And now I'm sure that I didn't miss a button in the component's edit-menu
