BATTLESHIPS FOREVER!

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

I doubt this will stand toe to toe with the powerhouses you guys make since i balanced it with the canon ships, but I created this armored battleship not long ago.

I'll try and whip something up that can compete here.

A comment on the HMS Invincible you say it is for armor only battles but the most common weapon on the ships is designed to take out sheilded oppenents. Just seems illogical.

Yes, but I recall that in Milk Run, it said that Point Defense have weaknesses when fired from behind it's starting angle, or something like that.

Turrets with turning rates higher than 1 (which all PD have) will randomly traverse their arcs. So hitting them from behind isn't much of a difference.

The key point is to hit PD from two directions at once. That way it will be less effective since it will waste time traversing across both vectors. In Milk Run you hit the pirate ships from the rear because the space station will be firing from the front and in that way you will make its interceptors split fire between two sides.

Aethetics.
I couldn't think of any other suitably long ranged, exploded boom-thing to fill the role of a 19 inch gun.

well no amount of armor can posibly not avoid a beam weopon that has its power at or over 10000.

Yes, but a beam weapon with power over 10000 is f***ing retarded when placed into the context of explosive projectile NAVAL craft.

I'm sorry, I find no amusement in pitting 10000 dmage beamers against anything, since said weapons require NO strategy.
