Or maybe you're just damn spoilt by the technique and need to learn to build less complicated designs. :P

Simple designs are for the simple-minded :P

But yeah, you really are right. I tried to do simpler, yet still good-looking, designs for the second batch of ships I created, specifically for the sickle-moon ships. Even still, I find that the quality of the designs will start lacking. However, I have no solution to fix this.

The goal here is "interesting to fight", not "aesthetically pleasing". You can still accomplish both goals but the former is more important if you ask me.

I‘d honestly settle for having pretty ships. section layout and structure is pretty subtle. i doubt that most players will even notice weakspots in a section layout. this is doubly true because the parenting system in this game is built on actual collision. if two sections touch by even a pixel then they are considered connected and will prevent one from dropping off

^Perhaps you could revert it to the old system of parenting? That could relieve this overlapped section OP issue.

Why revert it? This is a lot better.

Because then we can layer details on top of another section in a way that it is destroyed with its parent without having to worry about it touching another section.

That doesn't strike me as a good reason to remove such a cool feature. That sounds like a really dumb reason, honestly.

Yea, you're probably right (as usual). I didn't exactly think that reply through TBH.

It is a dumb reason, but I won't deny I agree...

That is, when it comes to the overlapping sections making an OP ship.

So either reduce the ship's HP to compensate or build with the feature in mind, if you're that concerned about it.

If I make ships, could someone else arm them for me. I don't like arming, I could never arm them. (I would always mess up my ships, idk how though cx)

I'm currently building a folder that will be full with 13 "chassissss" of assorted styles and colors. :D

There's not much point in making ships right now with th15 trying to sort out a new style of sections for the game...

.. We'd better wait until he has decided on what to use and use that for our shippehs.

Behold Prototype Odin. My only ship that has no custom parts whatsoever. Also has Fake Aegis(So don't be scared of destroying it in the front). Could be used for a Boss Fight or a guardian in an allied sector.
