Here's my attempt at copying the style for section 04:

Looking good, reminds me a little of Fraxy sprites.

I know they're likely pretty crappy, but I decided to post them just in case they're okay, in hopes of improvement and to see if the style works.
Yes, the shapes are based on Horsemonster's detailed weapons, but I tried to make different shading to see how it looks.

A bigger gun

So, ummm, are they any good?

th15's sec04 is good and we should probably keep it. It does look a bit "cleaner" than what we already have, though, so I might make it "dirtier"? IDK.
@Lukasmah: Those guns look good. IIRC we haven't decided on a weapon style yet, but if we're going for the HM style, those definitely fit.

Considering Starstruck gave me positive feedback, I decided to animate the smaller gun.
I wanted to add a muzzle flare at first, but then I decided not to for the sake of projectile colour variety. I might make another version with a flare later.

EDIT: Starstruck, I just noticed your new sprites, and I must say this: I love them. Great job. They really look like shiny versions of stockies.
Hey, what software do you use to make them, and what is the technique you used to achieve such effect?

The new sprite's amazing! Keep up the good work :3
Edit: I was too stupid to notice these were in the repack of BSF. That still means we probably need the author's permission, but at least they're already available in some way.
I hope it's helpful

No, Desert, none of these are in the repack. They just use the same style.

I meant what I posted at first
It's the last folder (alphabetically that is) in Xynus_Textured. Anyhow, those would need brightening to suit the current sprites and I like the ones in here better TBH.

Oh, I thought you meant Starstruck's stuff. My apologies.

It's alright, I assumed people had already read what my post said at first. :3

My attempt at making a sprite similar to Th15's :
It could use some more detailing though. I am not very good at sprite editing.

The base for the detail is there, you just need more detail like you've said yourself. Take a look at the original and try to make some subtle lines on it.

I am not very good at detailing, so i will leave it for someone more experienced.

What you CAN do is increase the cotnrast.
