It's okay until Doogie and Necron fix their PD, IMO. After that, it should probably changed to 0, but until then, it's fine if it stays as it is.

I have a 7 year old dying laptop and have encountered no serious performance issues in battles with muon shotguns.

Also I was thinking of adding three lasers to the rear, one on each main engine. I'll figure out what I want to do in regards to that later on when I do some more refining.

Fighters are really only good en masse. Any PD will shoot them out of the sky.

I've had this discussion with you before. PD is only insane when you use the bottom of the line weapons, which are called kinetic guns. Any amount of lasers will tear Ashtic ships apart. Besides, it takes two hits from any PD gun to kill an Ashtic fighter, and point rockets instakill them.

Not to mention the fact that the PD is insane only because it's replacing the hardpoints of the main guns. If I replaced them with actual guns of equal value they would do far more damage. So because one ship chassis serves to defend an entire fleet does not mean that it is OP. If you remember, the Kriken have a ship that is designed to be a PD gunboat, with six PD guns and three point rockets, at the lack of just about any main weapons. So of course you would consider it to be effective, but that doesn't dictate it as overpowered.

Typhoon throws a shitload of rockets and has troble getting them through the PD of Ashtic 1.

Also, for "primitive kinetic weapons" SAR Supernovas and such do tons of damage.

That is the raison for why the PD boat needs to have those kind of PD, those Supernovas will tear you apart.

UPDATE

Brother swapped out the computer he had me on, so now I have a decent graphics card and will be able to test ships and such. Probably won't happen until I am back from vacation on Friday, however. Will be leaving tomorrow afternoon.
