As you may have deduced from the title, this is the official independent ships thread. Since this is intended to be a various collection of private space vehicles, I welcome anyone (even non-DGW people!) to post here, but PLEASE keep it balanced (weak). We still reserve the right to remove or edit any posts that we deem necessary.
That being said, have at it!

Corsair Frigate
Size: 69.12
Hull: 150
Speed: 3.25
Turning: 1.75
Accel: 0.10
AI: Flanker
Armament:
2x Medium Red Laser
3x Light Red Laser
A versatile and highly capable light warship capable of performance matching some dedicated military craft, Han-Ronald Engineering's
Corsair is popular amongst many paramilitary, mercenary and pirate groups, as well as with some independent minor powers. The design is easily modified, resulting in a wide variety of variants in existence.
The variant represented here is the standard configuration, often referred to as the
Corsair-A.
Corsair-C Frigate
Size: 69.12
Hull: 200
Speed: 2.75
Turning: 1.50
Accel: 0.08
AI: Flanker
Armament:
4x Medium Green Laser
1x Twin Tiny Green Laser
A costly high-performance refit and upgrade for the
Corsair, the
Corsair-C features a quartet of medium green lasers as the main armament, helping increase it's effective range and firepower. The impoved reactor can compensate only somewhat for the power draw of the new weapons, and engine power and thus speed drops somewhat. The price tag involved means that these can only be fielded in any significant number by the wealthiest of pirates or the miltaries of minor powers.
Corsair-K Frigate
Size: 69.12
Hull: 200
Speed: 3.00
Turning: 1.75
Accel: 0.10
AI: Flanker
Armament:
1x Light Red Laser
2x Twin Hacksaw Scattercannon
Having been converted to the role of dedicated close-range brawlers,
Corsair-K frigates carry the infamous AF-41 Hacksaw scattercannon in side sponsons, giving it fearsome close-range firepower. Additional armour helps increase survivability in such situations.
Corsair-M Frigate
Size: 70.58
Hull: 150
Speed: 2.50
Turning: 1.25
Accel: 0.07
AI: Normal
Armament:
1x Light Red Laser
2x Trebuchet LRM
A number of coversion kits are available for the
Corsair, and this is one of the more popular options on the market, manufactured by RNI Systems. The conversion changes the primary weapons from a laser array to a pair of missile bins capable of holding a variety of missile types, most commonly LRMs for standoff capability.
Corsair-T Frigate
Size: 70.04
Hull: 100
Speed: 2
Turning: 1.00
Accel: 0.05
AI: Normal
Armament:
2x Tiny Red Laser
1x Mining Charge Launcher
One of the most drastic conversions of the
Corsair hull, this variant was likely cobbled together from heavily damaged examples of other
Corsairs and whatever usable junk was left around. One entire outtrigger has been replaced with a makeshift torpedo launcher adapted from mining explosives, giving it the ability to threaten slow-moving targets, but the jury-rigged warship's structural integrity is questionable.

Civilian shuttle
HP: 50
Speed: 1.80
Accel: 0.05
Turning: 0.7
A shuttle designed by General Reactors. Nothing special, its cheap cost and availability make it one of the most popular civilian shuttles in the Gulf.
EDIT: Something's wrong with the forum software. I can't see the little toolbar with all the editing stuff, the tags aren't working properly.

Hp:200
Speed:2.25
Turning:0.75
AI Range:400
Accel:0.05
weapons:
3X Light double red laser cannons
This ship is terribly broken
Enabled BBCode because Miram is an idiot to disable it.

That's odd, it seems to work fine elsewhere. Only doesn't work for your posts.

Seems like people who aren't in the group can't use BBCode when they post in this forum. I'll fix that.

A relatively simplistic ship outfitted for moderate haul between the many worlds in the Delphinus Gulf. It's larger size, weaker armor, and relatively small amount of weapons make it less likely for pirate use, although it is a favorite among smugglers due to it's speed and cargo hold.

Brigand Cruiser
Size: 97.08
Hull: 250
Speed: 1.25
Turning: 0.65
Accel: 0.05
AI: Normal
Armament:
3x Light Red Laser
1x Stinger Light Missile
A light cruiser manufactured by Han-Ronald Engineering as a long-range exploration and survey vessel. Armour and armament provisions included in the design were intended to ward off the various dangers that face such vessels on the frontier.
Brigand-D Cruiser
Size: 97.08
Hull: 325
Speed: 1.25
Turning: 0.65
Accel: 0.05
AI: Normal
Armament:
3x Medium Red Laser
3x Stinger Light Missile
2x Heavy Autocannon
A better-armed and uparmoured version of the
Brigand, favoured by the likes of 'private security companies' and 'preemptive salvage experts' for 'aggressive prospecting work'. Oddly enough, the survey sensor suite in the original
Brigand, intended for the ship's exploration role, is conspicuously absent.
EDIT: Fixed missing engines on Brigand-D

And there we go. Corsairs and their many variants added up there.
We do need more of these "neutral" ships.

Hammerhead Gunship
Size: 60.03
Hull: 150
Speed: 3.25
Turning: 1.75
Accel: 0.12
AI: Normal
Armament:
1x Twin Light Red Laser
3x Light Yellow Beam
While officially marketed as a heavy gunship, the
Hammerhead is more accurately described as a patrol corvette. This well-armed and armoured design by Anaheim Electronics is a common sight within the Gulf, serving as a system patrol vessel for minor powers or occasionally, a light raider for pirates.

God dammit, majhost went down for some reason.
In lieu of that, I'll just attach them in this post until majhost recovers.
