Help with screenshots

So i have seen some people in this forums post their ships using animated screenshots. Is there a way to do this from the ship maker?

There is a way to do it with SM but I find it easy enough to use this program
You just drag the frame around your ship, record, save and upload to whatever image hosting site you use like a normal image.
Search Gifcam into google.

shift + f9 takes the images that can be put into an animated screenshot, but to actual make the animated screen you have to use either a web-based client (which is usually terrible) or another program.

Is that game free? Or do you have to pay for kickstarter and shit like that
