DIfferent sounds without replacing sounds

ok I need to know is there a method on how to change weapon sounds areound in shipmaker without having to replace a file for said sound (like the custom bullet and custom sprite thing for weapons)

well that sucks.
since this post is still operation perhaps you can answer another question: I've read about al these different codes left and right on different weapons, but I don't know how to use them.
Can u help me out there as well?

They don't work in the latest version, they're a relic of the .sb3 format. Unfortunately the vast number of additions meant it was easier to scrap the string import/export than bring it up to date, considering the vast number of new variables added.

If you really want to use a weapon that has a string provided, and you're patient/careful, you can use this thread as a guide for converting the string into a usable format.
