I'm not really sure how it works... how do I import and use them and stuff? Is there a guide on forums here?

there is a wealth of helpful guides and documentation read it! please and save us all some typing time. this is a question that you will find has already been answered many times if you still can't find the appropriate documentation then feel free to ask but don't be lazy.

you could have tried looking in the FAQ first, or more directly:

Q: How do I use custom weapon and bullet sprites?

A: Select the weapon you wish to modify, and open the ED2 tab. From there, you can assign any valid custom sprite within your Custom Sprites folder. You may use either .png or .gif images.
