A problem with custom weapons

So there is this problem I have with custom weapons,
first off I got custom weapons off this forum but when i tried them they didn't work like, if I put them into "ship maker" unlike the default weapons where you can set stuff like the ammo and rate of fire, with the custom weapons sprites, they register as a section. and in battle they act like sections and don't fire, any idea? I'd provide a screen shot but I wouldn't think it would help because all the weapon sprites I have are from these forums

same problem with the updated "style version" for the default weapons as well




My method of importing the sprites is drag and drop if it helps

You don't change weapon sprites by importing them in that matter. Instead choose the weapon closest to the one you want your weapon to be like. (I.E. Missal launcher). Then you need to go to edit2 and click on the 'custom sprite' area. From there you can specify the sprite you wish to use.
