okay so.
i resently just tried out using the shipwright style, but when i first tested my creation (shipmaker was fine) i got some orange stuff around my ship.
any ideas?

Cool ship, and how to fix those issues. Go to options in the ingame menu (not shipmaker) and click colors until you get to glow then set it to all black.

For future reference, you can press F9 to print a screenshot from BSF, and Alt-Printscreen grabs the active window (rather than the entire screen).
