Good GIF converter?
Anyone knows a good GIF converter? I'm sitting on a bunch of frames that I want to make into a single GIF and most of the trials I tried can't do more than 5 at a time...
Avatarless and proud of it! And being really crazy and screwing everything conventional!
Currently working on:
The largest transforming mecha EVAR!

I use the GIMP, personally. It's a bit finicky but once you get the hang of it, you can make GIFs easily. It's also useful for whipping up new section sprites.
Admittedly it's a bit 'heavy' solely for GIF creation, but at least it's free.
Ed:
A few notes on GIF creation;
1. To start, load the 'idle' frame of the weapon, then load all other 'firing' frames as layers. It helps if you number them sequentially.*
2. Convert to indexed mode manually via Image -> Mode -> Indexed. This gets you the best colour results than the default indexing.
3. Save as GIF after inserting the delay (40-100ms is good for forum display, but doesn't affect playback rate in-game) and make sure you save as an animation.
