I decided to try and 'decode' the weapon strings to help recover some of the old weapons by making them easier to replicate.

Should be interesting seeing more of the novelty weapons thread being brought up to date. I want to see an efficient way to make blade-like sections using beamers. I have an idea of how, but it's not quite there yet.

For a SHARPed up section
Section + Beamer with 0 rake/deviation and f-in lot of HP, 0 alpha of course + Fire-range-to-section-length ratio + good color manipulation?

Or if you want the Section to move according to the beamer
Driven Section + Beamer Driver with variable raking power (slashing action with clean close shave everytime :D ) + Fire-range-to-section-length ratio + good color manipulation?

If you want a lightsaber that lights up when enemy gets close
Fixed Section + Disabled Torp Driver with 360 firing arc for radar-like novelty sensor which fire range is set to when you wished the lightsaber should lit up + Driven Beamer with 0 rake, lightsaber ppl, that LIGHTS UP when the faked up torp detects a target (or fire, in case of fire, use ladder. No, i mean in case detecting fails, try firing blank shells.) , + Fire-range-to-section-length ratio + good color manipulation (shockbeamer layering?)?


I haven't know the real function of weapon trigerring, and to hell with that fact, i don't even know about Force Fire function. Maybe it could help to create a spinning blade of beamdoom. Just to suggest. And pls don't kill me for not putting the codes in, its experimental.

I'm a newbie on this, and still newber on BSFing, so i'm just putting my half-cent here.

Custom weapon sprite of course. I set bullet X scale to 2 and bullet Y scale to 0.4 to experiment. Came out nicely, no?
