Turret Help

Post by Boarthephoenix »

I have made a turret and it works to a certain point. But the ship turns and the turret continues to face it original direction which will cause the turret to move beyond the arc rage of its drive and essentially getting stuck, is there a way to fix this?

Change then weapon arc to a small angle, such like 2
But,this also cause the weapon hard to accquire target...if it's too small
e.g. set the arc to 1~2,it seldom fire,if set to 0,it never fire....

That's a problem
But it do works

I think it might have been parenting the gun to the driver, try setting the driver to another section.

This tends to be an issue if the gun that drives the section is a child of the section it is driving. In most cases you have to use a seperate driver that the gun is (preferably) linked to for proper turrets.
