Well, yes.
But when your making a Ein-ish tracer Missile in gif, your pretty much stuck. Well, I'll do something else then, and perhaps post it in my thread case someone wants to play with it.

How would one set a section to rotate in one direction indefinitely?

Question: I tried to make a Section, who come out from the ship. on the movement Section are a weapon, i tried to modificated the trigger on the weapon, if the weapon come out, the weapon is online. Are the weapon come in the orginalposition, the weapon is offline. i have tried, but i had no sucsess. The first time, i had set the trigger from the weapon so:

Shooting: Enabled
Online: Enabled


Trigger on action 1:
Movement reach target

Trigger on actions 2:
Disabled

On frames: 90
On delay: 0

Trogger off action 1:
Movement reach orgin

Trigger off action 2:
Disabled

Off Frames: 90
Off Delay:0

Mode: Online/Offline

Please help me.

I ended up figuring out how to jury rig a solution. Set up a somewhat simpler Missile set-up with three Missiles at the center using their Launch Arc to keep the 3 facings. I got the blinking working by reversing the Fade limit values so that the high limit was 0, while the low limit was the higher one.

The side effect is the start-up is weird. The ship starts with the glow stuck on, and for the first couple seconds it flashes all 3 sections and fires all the missiles, but then it works after that.

Set the Rotating in Ed2 to enabled.

Then set the CW rotation speed to what you want.

Then make sure borders are disabled

I have a Custom Sprite problem.

Okay, so im testing the sprites feature, and i made some aztec-ish weapons. I named the folder Zae_weapons and created 4 weapons, Zae_wep01, Zae_wep02, Zae_wep03 and Zae_wep04. Now is the weird part. And let me tell you, ive read the sprite name rules topic.

All the sprites are PNG, but for some reason when i try and change a weapon's sprite to my own, only the first two work. THe other two turn the gun into the 'core circle.

Same with another piece. I named a folder Zae_aztec and have a piece in there called Zae_aztec01. I drap and drop the sprite but it dosnt show up.

Can any1 help? or at least give me a link to the answer. I just ask you don't give me the link to teh sprite name rules, cause i read that.

I'd suggest having a look at your file extensions.
For some reason, if it's .PNG with capital lettering instead of .png, they won't work. =/

File Extensisons? that dosnt seem to have any effect.

I've seen animated .gifs in posts displaying ship motion. How does one go about making those? I tried the capture frames thing once, but it just dumped a crapload of screenshots in my folder. How does one compile them all into a .gif?

You use .gif animator software.

Back in the day when I actually animated...
I used something that, IIRC, was called Animagic gif animator.

The GIMP is also good at making gifs with no nags or anything, plus it's a very useful piece of software. I use it to make all of my custom sprites.

I refuse to use GIMP as it feels like a rival to Paint.NET, which is too shiny and epic that I cannot bring myself to wrong it. (Much like the Companion Cube)
