I've already did that on a fleet I made but never finished and posted 6 months ago.

It's principle is to set the beam duration slightly higher than its reload time, also with both deviations data 0 otherwise it would looks like multiple beams being shoot at the same time. Actually you can set beam duration to be 2 and reload time to be 1, but it might cause the game to lag. In this example, its beam duration 31 and reload time 30.
A good idea, but I usually set the duration and reload to one. It's a lot louder than it should be, but it works and its smoother.

basically, those beams are able to cut our ships from that series in half. the Korolev got pwned. it looked just like the Daedalus, the icon under my name, before being destroyed by the Ori.

All of these effects have been done before, but they are good examples of what can be done with pulsars.

So ganking the energy bolt for my next new-faction ship. :)

Also, I suggest you toy with the sphere launcher dimensions... the current ones look a little too thin, and they look nicer if they're slightly thicker.

Interesting effect with the cluster bomb. Is it a ranged or point-blank weapon?

Ranged, you could set the range to very low and make it point blank though. To change the range will probably require a lot of tweaking.

The energy sphere looks better in surfaced mode, for sure. Well, changing the thickness of the pulsars is easy enough too.

Cluster Bomb looks like my Lightspeed Area Denial novelty weapon. Fun to use. The little stretched pulsars make me think of shurikens . . . ooh . . . shurikens . . .

I remember trying Cluster Bombs before, but it didn't turn out anything as good as that. Nice work with the Pulsars there.
