WUT.

I am not touching your ship with a 50 foot pole.

Or talking to you.

Ever.

Ever.

Again.

Why?

Because I tried to load your ship in Shipmaker and discovered that you've apparently dumped almost all your SWA-style sprites into the "Kae_alien" folder, and every weapon sprite into the "Stock Weapons" folder.

So as far as I'm concerned, you are dead to me.

And you'd know all about ships that look questionable.

But hey, at least it's not purple.

Im currently building a space station/ star base thing but im having a doodad problem:
The stations outer 4 platforms are connected to a round section in the middle which rotates. As you see on each platform is a red doodad with 0 animation speed to keep it glowing all the time (a DooBlinkFader) but the upper platforms doodad doesn't appear and under platforms doodad is misplaced, but in the shipbuilder they are all well placed, i also noticed this effect only occurs when the plaforms spin, if rotating is disabled the doodads work just fine.... any idea how to solve this problem?

There is no way to solve the problem, doodads don't work on rotating sections.

However, if the intent is for the whole station to rotate, you don't need rotating sections anyway. Just set speed and acceleration to the lowest possible values in Shipmaker, and give the station a turning speed, and the whole thing will spin on the spot. If you only want part of it to spin, and for other parts to remain stationary, then sorry, you're kinda out of luck. Doodads on rotating or moving sections simply don't work.

Hopefully this will be fixed in a future version of BSF.

Assuming we ever get a new version.

Counter-rotation should work. It should appear to be stationary, but you won't be able to use doodads on it as it's still technically rotating.

I see. Perhaps you'd like to share the knowledge of how to do this with the rest of us...? :|

Open the .shp file in notepad.

Presto.

Tried that earlier and it didn't work. Turns out I was doing it wrong  . Now to go and edit out those double folders...

Another question: What's the correct folder name for fraxy sprites? Looked in Preachers list, it's no there. The download makes a folder called "Fraxy sprites", but a ship I tried to download seems to want the folder to be just called "fraxy". Also, I seem to remember a bug fix for the tesla but I can't remember where (I have looked). I have surfaces turned on, and anyway it seems to work in sandbox, it's SM that doesn't seem to like it.

Then the person who made the ship fucked up and put his sprites in the wrong directory. "Fraxy Sprites" is the correct folder name that Kaelis specified when he posted the sections, and that's the name of the folder in the .rar I packaged.

I have no idea what's going on with that Tesla error. One of the clever code-monkeys will have to take a look at that, 'cause I got nothin'.

Well, just spent an hour or so looking and can't find what I'm after, so I'll ask my question. Can you change the sprite for the demeter drone? The SM ed2 tab will change the sprite for the weapon (drone launcher), and the bullet (what the drone shoots at targets), but not the drone itself. Which doesn't look right if you're using sw or shn type sections.
