You can upload ships via the editor, give it a secret name though, because the enemy might go through the uploads site.
Once you are assigned to a team he'll give you forum access.

Also, submit your ships by uploading them at filefront.com and pming me the link to the uploaded ship. You can use something other than filefront if you want.
