Just a curious question, how many "decorative aegis" sections are we allowed?
And yes, I'm in, since after my summer school finals (11th), I'll be free. I probably won't have much time to work on anything for this until then, though.

according to the current rules, couldn't you just theoretically create layer after layer of free aegis, making a theoretically invincible ship 
and assuming you use default hp for the actual module, you could use those as a wall too to avoid one shot railgun kills.
maybe allow people to make both an accesorized AND a normal version of their ships and use the normal one in the actual competition.

No. ITs only cosmetic Aegis. We only get 2 Aegis pieces and 4 deflectors.
A six section deflecto Aegis would be a fairly good ship.

my point is that an infinite number of free 1hp units allows you to have whatever hp you want.

of course 1 railgun or 1 plasma torp getting through pd would kill all of them... but if you used the actual modules as blockades... yeah it would be stupid.
