twinblasters cost the same as blasters?
edit- ah, sorry meant twincannons.
Also, a very rough draft of (trying) to convert the ship into an aegiser:
edit: sorry for the size... fed that up... will fix if it annoys anyone.

You guys have access to the mothership for testing? That's neat. Since we're all friendly rivals here, could you please direct me to its location?

WE WILL CRUSH YOU LIKE ANTS!
thanks for the offer. I'll pass
And generally it's considered polite (aka not completely rude) to post this in the main thread.

So... If I post in the main thread, does that mean you'll give me a link to the mothership?

Ignore lightstriker, he obviously has something against friendly bickering, which is somewhat refreshing after all these cloak'n'dagger secrecy touneys. :P Mothershipy

Anyways, I just want to check that lightstriker realizes twin cannons cost 2 points; I get the impression he doesn't but I could be wrong. In fact, both the twin cannons and the dusks are slightly less DPS/point effecient than blasters. Could we edit the first post to be like team Alpha's once we get enough ships going?

EDIT: I don't get your question... do you have two ships that you want us to choose from?

i love friendly bickering...
see how happy i am... huh? HUH? SEE? HUH? DO YA? HUH PUNk...
sorray...
moving on, i meant which weapon configuration (pulsars or pure dmg) i should go with.
Also, i do know that twin cannons cost 2, i just also know that including the cost of the sections i have to toss on to fit them (i have no room left...)
the price is equal...

Can you post the DPS of the custom weapons so we can compare to the Spreadsheet? I'm getting 35 DPS for the Dusk and 10 for the blaster.

PS.

For pulsar ships, you don't relly need Aegis. They tend to stay far enough from the action that being pounded isn't a huge problem and a few deflectors or alot of ablative armor usually suffices. Though I can't guarentee that for all the bosses. Aegis is more efficient on midrange to close ships.
Don’t worry it has airbags.

First: (clicky for .sb3)

This is mainly a test of the aegis arrangement (like ASM says, it's better for close range ships usually), but also shows how ownage-ful revolver weasels are. When testing, mind that it's unlikely the bosses have much aegis-busting potential, so the occasional dusker-bustering is not really a problem. Also, the weasels will of course be even better versus bosses than our ships.

RE DPS: (35/17)*(98/84)=2.4 times the DPS of blasters which is less than the 3/1=3 cost hike.

NOTE: I can only access Wyrdysm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for the next while, just so you know. Sorry. I might be able to get on the #bsfAlpha channel sometimes...

Hull for my ship.
Don't know what to arm it with, but I was thinking either a whole shitload of PD, or I chop off the tail and restructurize the interior for more weapons.

coo...

alright: so far it seems like we have:
two distractors (me) (droid)
one tank (munky)
and a POSSIBLE tank/ aegis whore (Mtheminja)

edit: and so far, in all my test runs, either a blaster or a pulsar build worked far better than any others i could make (of course, not sure how much that is saying...) in any case, does anybody have any suggestions or just beliefs as to which one i should go with?

oh, and i'd just like to check, we are NOT using lancets, correct?

alright, fixed droid's ship's id.

Droid's ship is a distractor. It wouldn't hurt to have 2 though.

Which class would work best for a distractor? I'm kinda thinking of going Cruiser, but then I'd have to buff the Aegis HP a bit (150 definitely won't cut it).
