Can the deadline be relatively soon? People lose interest if the deadlien isn't within a week or two typically.

i would like to request that it either be soon after the 16th, or after the 26th. If that's not possible... i'll make do.

Would the 23rd be a suitable deadline? Though it appears to fall in the middle of lightstriker's range, not exactly sure how that works for him.

Also sue me, but in order to discourage weapon spam balance issues, I'm putting a limit on the number of Dusk guns per ship to 4.

deadline for finish?...
crap...
well, you'll be getting my final ship on the 16th...
if my team objects to that i will drop out.

The date's far from final yet, I'm trying to get an idea of what works.

Right now the issue appears to be that some people want dates around 1-2 weeks to get this tournament moving, but that falls in a bad zone for lightstriker. (16th pushes it at one week, 26th means going around 3 weeks.)

Oh my god I just looked closer at the neon.

Lancets won't help us here, god knows what will...

I would tolerate a later deadline if you could guarantee that you won't keep us waiting weeks for a result.

Also, just to be super-clear, our same 8 ships compete against each boss, right? Thus demanding flexibility on the part of the team?

Edit: Finally, are you willing to give us any sort of impression of approximately how many "points" a boss is equivalent to? Are they balanced so a good fleet defeats them while a lesser fleet loses, so a good fleet murders them while a lesser fleet defeats them with more damage sustained, or so a good fleet damages them more than a lesser fleet, but still probably loses?

I suppose you won't tell me all that, but I might as well ask.

in terms of deadline a week or two would be nice, i do not really mind.

i don't mind when the dealines are, as long as we have at least 7 days to build and test something. I think we need 1 more rule. To be able to put 4 weapons/modules on 1 section of a ship, but that section must parent at least 4 sections, and can't have aegis on it, or be protected by one.

huh? Why would we need (let alone want) that rule?
and glad this finally got stickied...

It could make 1 section have a major importance on a ship, and make a booster a little bit more useful. it would also allow smaller ships to carry a couple of extra weapons. This is balanced by making it much more sceptible to hull shock.

Meh, Booster + Dusk is good enough.
