The first two episodes are here, new episodes will be made in a new post.

Enjoy the miniship battles!

1st Mission: Save the HQ
Briefing: Commander, we have recieved a priority call from Listening Outpost Beta-112. They've send an encoded data-stream with information on a renegade fleet gathering in the warp.
They expect imminent attack and are requesting a relief effort. You will be given command of vessels as they become available.
Beta-112 is readying its own defenses, but they say it will take some time before they are powered up.
We recieved a message just after we requisitioned your forces: Your rival, Commader LeGuin, says his fleet in enroute to Beta-112 as well. Give him a good show for us!

(Assuming you successfully complete the first mission)
2nd Mission: Unknown Assailant
Briefing: Commander, the renegades in this sector have pulled back after their failed attempt on Beta-112. Their forces have gathered and blocked a shipping lane through asteroid zone AZ-B24a. Mission orders are to terminate with extreme predjudice.
Be advised, Commander, the warpseers have detected fluctuations in normal-space near that area. It's possible that you might be up against an enemy we havn't come across before. Unfortunately we have only been able to fit a few ships for combat. Such is the price of being a new Commander in a wartorn sector.
Commander LeGuin is throwing the remainder of his escort fleet into battle with you. Hopefully you made friends with him yesterday. Lord General Loguron has sent word that he in enroute to the battlezone with his flagship, as well as the sister ship to yours. We can only hope they don't arrive premeturely.
Good luck, Commander.

I love these encounters!!! They run beautifully, ithey're fun, they're somewhat difficult but not too difficult, they have huge fleet battles in which you only control a small group of ships, they don't take superlong and thus stay enjoyable throughout, etc. They are simply great and, because of these, I find myself liking your miniships so much more.

I have decided to do a bit of an episodic history of the leading Commander in the first two encounters.
The continuing missions will assume you have read the briefings and successfully completed previous missions.
Enjoy!

Mission 3: LeGuin Must Die!
Briefing: Commander, Lord General Loguron commends your actions in AZ-B24a, and wishes to speak with you in person, but this must wait. Tactica is rerouting you to Beta-104, a defense station with a small drydock nestled in an asteroid field. Luckily, they have a decent sized defense force. It seems they might need to use everything they have, today.
Beta-104 has recieved a distress call from none other than Commander LeGuin. It seems that directly after he left the previous battle, LeGuin left to investigate the possible source of the unknown enemy dreadnaught. However, the remnants of his fleet were beset upon in warpspace. His flagship is the only survivor, and has sustained massive damage.
Be advised, LeGuin's ship has lost most motive control, so it will be up to you to use Beta-104's new guidance system to return him to the drydock for repairs. We don't have to tell you how important it is that he and the information he has survives.
You should know that Tactica has detected similar anomalies in the warp that closely resemble the one from the previous battle.
Keep your eyes open, Commander.
