So who would you rather see do it then Kenshin. Chaos or Comus? Or do you have anything to suggest in the way of us deciding who is to build it? And Bad Boy, why not build both using your initial ideas. Then submit them to the team and let us tell ya what we feel is better. And where your strenths lie, in slower more weapon laiden ships, or smaller faster types?

I would suggest the team gives there input on who they would like to see make our mothership. Otherwise if no further vote occurs Chaos will be it.
I'm gonna Step back the deadline to tuesday, once tuesday comes along. I will take into account all votes and make a final desicion. This way we still have a few days to express our thoughts and feelings on the mothership issue. And we then can begin to send that person, our ideas in general. NO matter who builds it Comus or Chaos. All of our ideas will become one on our mothership. If theres any problems with this system please let me know.

@Darken: I agree with basically everything you said and I'll try to have a slow weaponful ship done soon (that's the type of ship I prefer).

Ok kenshins idea is very strong, and I suggest we definetly take it into account. But I have sent a few ideas for adjustments to him I would like to see happen, and will send them along as well to those involved.


Edit: I have a differnt idea on a escort. I may send it to the team if it comes out better then the last. Which will be hard to do.

Edit 2 : My write up for kenshins idea has been sent to Chaos and Kenshin for scrutiny. I think my touches are what was needed. Pm me with your thoughts if needed.

Chaos tested it against some PD and it fell down in flames.

Okay. The "shell" that I have decided upon for the Mothership is now in the inboxes of DarkenShroud, Kenshin, and Comus for review.

Weapons not final! Just a test!

[Edit:] Not to mention that Kenshin's ship is totally illegal by the rules.

First one or second?

I know the first is over the point limit and doesn't have the minimum speed :lol: .

2) No three weapons or modules are parented to the same section. What then, pray tell, are you talking about?
3) I used the Core HP add point cost. Ya'know, the second option in that entire table? The one underneath the Base Core HP?

You act like I'm trying to antagonize you. I'm not . . . but I am right on most accounts:

I read: "53 Sections (all of them that are outside the aegis) w/ Max HP - 265" I assumed you realized that all of the outside sections have about 3000+ hp, which is not legal, the rules say a max of 5 hp increases per section, starting at 200 hp. (perhaps you meant that if the hp's were put in, that would be the point total for it . . .)

Same thing, I believe, applies to the core, since it doesn't say otherwise anywhere else, and the core on your ship has 5000 hp.

Additionally, as an inarguable point, no weapons/modules may be parented to the aegis'ed sections.


I'm just pointing this out because it makes it very hard to test counter-designs against if all the sections have 3000+ hp. No attack intended.

1) I never put in the actual HP values. I said this multiple times. They are default. They are that high because I increased the Core HP, and this is what the default section HP is based off of.
2) The Core HP has a HP bonus option. I pointed this out to you before, I figure maybe a bolded quote will help you this time. I explicitly said I increased it by 90 points. 90 * 50 = 4500, plus 500 base HP = 5000.

3) I explicitely said this was an idea, not something fully fleshed out so that you could test against. I wasn't going to waste my time on something that could be just as easily realized in the first draft and therefore changed in subsequent ones. I have a life. I have soccer. I have schoolwork. I'm sorry I can't spend more time on this than I already do, which happens to relatively be quite a bit.
4) The only thing you have me on is the Aegis and Deflectors parented to the Aegised sections, which just happened to overlook just the same as me in your original "criticism".

Again, I say. Do your homework first. And listen to what I said.

Do you really want me to quote and bold the post I sent you, explaining that I didn't change the section HP?

Alright so I want to be sure, what do you guys want me to make, a battleship or a cruiser? I'm going to start it off as a battleship but if anyone has any objections, I'll make it into a cruiser.

There's going to be a lot of frigates. Keep in mind that the ship is pointless if you can never get in range of the enemy, or you're if too slow to face the right direction and it runs circles around you.

Hmm so what I wrote up would not be effective. Thats hard to believe. I may have to check into it myself. Looked pretty good to me. I have some other ideas I'll send forth.
