come on people, lack of communication creates walls, barriers, and a peaceful exsistance, but we can't have that because where would the fun be? Get together and make a monster. Isn't that lifes purpose?

Final version of Mastermind GET! Ok, let's vote quickly (not that we have much of a choice.): Mastermind or Eye of Terror? I vote Mastermind...

And seriously, we need a good team name, so we can vote on that too.

Well, this version looks pretty good. Its actually decently fast.

I'm wondering what sort of ships we should have. Due to the *ahem* side effects of that ridiculous snow plow of death, I think we should stay away from fast flankers. I'm going to make a slow mining beam whore.

Also, Trilobite 2 tends to rape it to no end in 1 vs 1. I think we should take a few lancets to counter the 'giant pile'o'guns waaagh' that these MSes will have.

We need to start thinkig about what each of us will make for escorts.
I think we should decide on what roles we need, then assign them to each person, so we know what kind of ship everyone is making.

Could we just wait till the rough designs of the other teams are released? 'Cause I don't think it'll do anything much if we start designing so fast, without any planned ships to counter. Well...it's up to you to decide...

That's what I was waiting on. However, I do have some ideas.

I wonder how people will respond to the snowplow of justice.

Reverse engineering time!

The Badger V appears to have 6 aegis (36 pts), 144 shock beamers (432 pts, although the back row might not be shock beamers, so somebody should look into that) (468 loadout points out of at most 480), 28 outer sections (14 pts), and an implied 72 inner sections (36 pts) (50 hull points out of at least 320). That leaves between 270 and 300 points for HP boosts and movement. Probably the outside is HP boosted...

The Bovis appears to have 12 aegis (72 pts), 4 megatachs (36 pts), 24 demeter bays (48 pts), 1 frosch (15 pts), 2 lancets (maybe 4) (12 pts), assorted flak, mega beam, and deflectors, and maybe blasters/gatpulses (~30 units, at 2 pts a unit, give 60 pts for these, but someone should try and get a better estimate) (only 171 pts so far, so I'm missing something big here). I'm guessing speedy and lots of HP in any case, here.

What else do you see? We should choose somebody to make model enemy motherships.

Bovis must be a fast flanker type. Otherwise all those aegis shields would die very quickly. it has many rear facing weapons as well.

I think that Badger is the bigger threat. Our MS can handle fast flankers, however Badger resembles one of my battle barges except with lots more armor. I have a feeling that it has heavy armor but the armor is distributed in the outer shell and not the inner.

I have a feeling that Triobite would be been good against that sort of thing.

I can rig up a Badger V test ship. I think we should have done this like how we did Team Alpha AOTMS II and all build our own ships and then show them to each other so we can discuss them and figure out a coherent strategy to use them.

Yup, the Bovis is likely to get lanceted like crazy and/or lose its aegises rapidly, given the circumstances. The Badger V is more of a threat, but the Mastermind should be badger-proof, so we just need to find a way to wear it down reasonably quickly. Maybe baby Trilobites (with lancets :D ) would work well against both motherships.

Could someone re-host Daxx's picture of Mastermind? I can't see it where it is because of Parental Controls...

lol  Anyways, why would you need it though? You have the ship so you won't need that picture. Or do you want to see how much the ship is scrambled?

Yup, considering the circumstances...

Why don't we have a strategy? I want one.
