Most of it's weapons are forward facing, but 2 Tachs and Blasters are read facing, and about 3 Gatt Blasters per flank. There's about 10 weapons I can't make out.

Okay, he said the the Juggernaught is worth 280 points. I count 343 worth of Weapons/Modules, so there must be quite a bit of Scaffolding.

I'm guessing that the scaffolding would be the 6 wing sections around the ship mounting the nanos, and also the flank's pillar sections. He sure tried to make it as different from the AtM tourney as possible...... the scaffolding's colour blends in with the Juggernaut.

Then again, there's always the possibility that those nanos are gonna disappear to be replaced by weapons and modules.

For testing, I took the test Mothership2 (flanking AI) and used it as a Juggernaut substitute, and since it is supposed to have 5 frigates escorting it, gave it 5 Dauntless (only pirate frigate available to date).

I put the Iron Snowflake out in front, the Sub Rosa (yes I know it is not your current ship, but it is the only one available to test with from you :) ) immediately behind the Snowflake. The rest of the team is a little more generic in design, and since we are supposed to have 10 ships in total, I took two copies each of (Dragoon, Zizzait, my destroyer, & my frigate).

The Iron Snowflake got all the initial death-locks as expected. At the 1:24 mark the Juggernaut/Mothership2 died. The Snowflake had only lost 1/2 of its outermost ring and everybody else was intact. Our fleet then started chasing down the 5 Dauntless pirate frigates, of which we destroyed 2 quickly. At 3:15 the Sub Rosa lost half its hull. At 3:50 Sub Rosa was destroyed. The Sub Rosa damage was due to fly-byes of the Dauntlessx3 fleet. I let it run for 5 more minutes just to be sure, but it ended in a looping/chasing stalemate.

Now the Mothership2 was supposed to face 8x100 point ships, so facing 10x150 point ships is a much sterner test, so I would expect the real Juggernaut to be quite a bit tougher.

BTW, what's jarhead supposed to mean, did th15 just make that up?

It's a bit less tough, but a lot more firepower :twisted:

Due to it's small threat circle almost no one will attack it till the end anyway, so the absence armour wasn't really needed.

just a correction, I toned down the juggernaut a bit, but its still tough(its beatable though) but there are supposed to be 8 pirates...

Yes. Improvements (my opinion) - your Pulsars just don't hit anything, for the 20 points I would replace them with beamers which don't miss - 6 beamersx3 points with 2 extra points.

Your core defence once an attacking ship gets down to that level is excellent now. Since almost all attacks will come from in front or from the rear, I think your Aegis shields should be switched from the sides, to a front/back configuration.
