I'm curious about how tournaments are run. Do people just submit ships to the person running the tournament and he/she uses the game AI to run all the ships? Does anyone get to control their ships?

Also, I've seen construction rules for making the ships. Does the cost for sections include the core? Does the cost for extra HP for sections apply per section or all at once?

How much time is usually allowed for ship submissions? Weeks? Months?

Please clear these up for me.

There are no overarching rules for tournements. If it actually works and people join it, then yeah for you.

Usually tournement battles are done with AI and the deadlines are weeks.

Most tournements specify HP/Section not HP/ALL Sections.

Well that's gonna be kind of cool, if everything goes smoothly and there's a decent point system. Hopefully we don't get the usual delays and waits which we regularly get at every tournament. It's nice to see new members taking initiatives like this.
