Lloyd I would consider putting more sections up front to soak up damage and guard your weapons and modules. Also I'm not sure if your ship follows the two weapons or modules per section rule. It's my understanding that a section cannot parent more than two weapons or modules.

Although I'm not in Team Delta, I would just like to comment that the front of the ship looks a little vulnerable once the outer layers have been destroyed. Ablative armour should be employed in this situation to prevent the weapon systems inside from being destroyed, and KEEP the four deflectors.

We need more strategy, all ships look like they are meant to fight on their own.....

1. I suggest we don't mix beams and blasters, I think its best to all use blast weapons to overwelm pd or go for beams.

2. we need heavily armoured close combat ships with lots of pd and lighter fire support ships with for example railguns or pulsars, we also need some flanking ships

3 If everyone puts 2 lancets on his ship we will have the mothership defenceless in no time :wink:

gone some changes, now should work better, be more durable, and hurt the systems more

gained 2 tachyons (4)
and 6 sections (3)
this ship is meant for mid range system damage, and keep the pd from hitting more valiable things.
I agree with anty, we need a tean leader and 8 roles for ships with each of us taking 1.
fell free to comment on my ship (design and function).

edit: after testing i have found that the ship is now worse then the one before, now the ai targets the tachyons, stopping them from damaging modules(the point of this ship). thinking of moving systems and getting back booster, but not sure what to lose, or put on. would put ship up for download, but database is still down. please give advice.

after testing, i can not fix this thing. hoping someone can help.
if i remove all weapons(damage ones) i have 23 points. The aim of this ship is to take out the motherships modules and weapons quickly.also 4 flak cannons do not seem to be enough. wondering what to put on, and anything i could lose(maybe cut turning and accelection) to help this thing do it's job, as anything with more then 2 pd guns stops most of the system damaging weapons(railguns and tachyons) and this is starting to bug me. any advice would be helpful.

Remove 2 Deflectors, and get wider deflector sections. I'd go for section 26 or something like that.

Waited too long before joining in, but if anyone wants to see it I've made a blaster platform with 360* firepower in the range of nearly 16 shots per second nonstop with 6 weasel guns as well to get around deflectors because of retarded AI not targeting anything other then the core :( Beats nagaya with no parts loss. Nagaya3 beats it, but only because it won't target around the aegis.

Wow, even though I'm not on your team, I have to say that is a sexy beast.

When I tried a frigate it got demetered to death. Its actually a very similiar to a design of mine I toyed with.

I'm just gonna throw out a quick suggestion - throwing lots of points into armor will not beat a deflector (or aegis) in protection... but when that deflector runs out of juice, if you can't take any hits, you're screwed. Take that however you guys want ;)

The Good News about my design

- (I think) it reaches the exact point total

- It only lost one section to a Nagaya Mothership 3, and barely took any damage from a Leviathan

- Extraordinarily accurate
