As he said, sure, you can put your ships in a 180 semicircle.
That doesn't mean that the mothership has to be in the center of that circle. which may be a bad thing for your fleet. as their backsides are exposed to the MS.

I haven't been following much of this due to computer breakage, but kudos to whoever made this, as it is awesome.

Okay, I just updated the roster for the ships I have at the moment. Make sure that what I have there is the version you want. Midnight Sunday is the ultimate-no-hope-remains-no-exceptions deadline. (well, at least until I get home on monday and open up the forums to see... but don't push your luck)

After that, I will be replacing empty spots with reserves, and randomly selecting ships from other teams as replacements if there are more empty holes than reserves. The other option, is that you may elect to use a ship from the last tournament (as I know delta was substituting a ship in particular in their tests). Be aware, that if one of your members shows up at the last minute with a ship, I will take their submission before a substitution.

I anyone wants to use this, you can thorw it in the reserves:

We should have about half our flet lancet armed. We could do the whole thing but all the tanks we have would waste them due to the beams bouncingo ff of friendly deflectors.

Also, I have a present for you. :D

Since you like your Citrus so much, I had to go and make another frigate(tm) Just to show you that real men don't need those wussie little rail guns.

Sidwes has nothing on this.

Code: Select all

Frigate

Structure
6 Sections: 12
2 Deflectors: 8
Armor: 4
Total: 24

Movement
5 Speed: 25
1 Turning: 5
.3 Acc: 6
Total: 36

Weapons
2 Lancets: 12
8 Beamers: 24
2 Particle Guns: 4
Total: 40

Grand Total: 100
Eats oranges too.

8 work well, one doesn't work so well.
Don’t worry it has airbags.

If it's useful to have a second more specialised ship as an additional replacement, then here's an alternate submission (reposted from the Delta thread):

http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforev ... s/Tank.sb3

In terms of choosing alternate ships for dropouts, the Dominus Astrorum is a straight up beam-brawler, which can go toe to toe for a while and deal pain. Better in a slower fleet. The Tank is simply an aggro whoring pure tank. It attracts the Mothership like nothing else, and can survive for a considerable time just on its own. It'd be better in a faster fleet.

AllStarZ needs to step up a gear in Delta, otherwise Daxx's DA will take his place.

EndlessInfinity, if you want the ship links with () in their names to work, you will need to follow this:

Code: Select all

( = & #40; space added between '&' and '#' else character would be substituted
) = & #41;

change
http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforever/shipdatabase/uploads/HK.AtM2_(HCD-4b_Redoubtable).rar
to (once again, space added between '&' and '#' else character would be substituted )
http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforever/shipdatabase/uploads/HK.AtM2_& #40;HCD-4b_Redoubtable& #41;.rar
^Copied from a post Jafo made in the Team Beta thread.

I just hope everyone submits their ships - if they signed up for the tournament, they have to be responsible for it! At least submit a ship before going AWOL.

I wouldn't like replacements for those people who don't submit their ships. Maybe penalise their teams by hosting the tournament with one ship less?

Ok...maybe I shouldn't be so sadistic...

Not a bad idea, but remember the replacement ships probably won't be optimised for the team.
