They're still super super easy to intercept though.

So are blasters, but they don't have the range, damage, accuracy, or brand new 360° equivalent firing arc. Also, it can attack flanks, like the (2 point!) Sidewinder. With enough of them you can over come all but the most turtled up ships. It gains that 360° threat zone while still having plenty of points left over to make it as speedy as a cruiser. I am fine with massing Missiles, its the fact that I don't have to sacrifice too much speed and manueverability to get it that I have a problem with, while the other team has to devote a lot to defence (Very expensive defence, which makes them slower or have fewer weapons) Bumping it up to 2 points won't be totally debilitating to missiles if your ship is still focusing entirely on them.

Just compare a fleet of 3 "1 point Missile" Manyara's: http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforev ... ._IIIa.shp

To a fleet of 3 "2 point Missile" Manyara's:
http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforev ... ._IIIb.shp

Or just look at Trashmans Excellent and aptly named Hail to the King: http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforev ... e_King.shp
(which is a better missile barge than the Manyara, even though it doesn't take advantage of the new 3 per section rule <.<)

They are still battlewagons, but the high amount of missiles slows them down, as it would with mass sidewinders or blasters.

Derekiv, you have too many Deflectors for the number of sections there, you muct have 1 deflector per 3 sections. Also, no weapons or modules can be parented to the core. You are also 14 points over the 100 point budget. Other than that though, it looks promising. We did similar things between it and the Svarog/Xanthe. Great minds think alike.

EDIT: Also, I finally have a name for my fleet for the tourny, Fleet Kallistrate, which is ancient Greek for Beautiful Army. :D It should be true, I did my best to preserve aesthetic appeal as I built them.

Just realised that I change the number of sections without changing number of deflectrs. Just use the Mk. 1 until I get a chance to fix it.

In that case, the Swallow Mk.II is at 117 points and the Mk. I is at 130 points, and is still 2 sections short of the 3 sections per deflector rule. :D

I think it will still be a beast under the 100 point mark. It also looks really good. :)

EDIT: Also, the only problem with the new Hail to the king is that one deflector looks parented to the core, and the rules in this topic have that as a no, no. Its fixed easy though, as that center section lookslike it only has 2 weapons on it anyway, so there's room for another deflector. :D

A taste of whats to come. Named after one of the shadiest spells in Neverwinter Nights, I give you a look at one of my designs. Issac's Greater Missile Storm. The results are consistant as well, in either 4096 size or default. 3000 or 6000 range.

God how I hated that spell. It's so buggy.

Missile Barge Chemosh is a scary thought though. :D

I thought something was fishy.. I look at the weapons, number of sections and deflectors..ok..but when you factor in the speed, you see something's wrong. 30 point over the limit. That's a lot.

More than that, I don't think he set part HP. I haven't checked the mark II, but I'm sure of it on the Mark I.
