Question can we just submit all the ships at the sametime, so people can't plan against the other teams and we can have some form of secrecy. One deadline would make things much easier, and ensure everyone doesn't loose interest and gets stuff done there and then. Seems like this tourney is gonna drag on like sponges with this talk of multiple deadlines and multiple timed ship submissions. I think it would be much more enjoyable and alot easier on you if we just submitted all the ships in one shot, then you make the pics public after the submissions are final and complete. I don't really see it as fair that each team gets to plan against the other teams ships. The fun in a tourney is not knowing what to expect and try to plan for everything. You take alot of that fun away by making things public, and allowing others to see teams ship before they make there own. Just a suggestion to make things easier, and more orderly. Plus this way is alot more fun and retains the mystery in which we all enjoy of what the enemy will be capable of and planning for the worst. Even in the normal mothership tournies the mothership was obscured to a degree and you had to do some guessing. To me thats the best part of a tourney, not knowing what to expect. So if ya can take to this suggestion I and alot of others I'm sure would be greatful. Multiple submissions will take a crap load of time, plus you will have to judge ships more then one time, plus you have to keep checking up possibly on who left the team because of inactivity, and possibly people droppin out after the first deadline is up. One deadline overall would be a better idea, and mystery as to what the other team makes as a whole is alot more fun then having each team post there motherships then the other teams get to plan against them. To much work for you, to many things could happen in that time, and alot of fun taken away by knowing what were up against.......Each team of eight will collaboratively construct a Mothership with which to rule the aether. The point limit for this is 800 points, and must conform to the Mothership hull class. At the end of the first deadline, designs must be submitted from each team. A snapshot of each team's design will then be made public.
Before the second deadline, team members must construct 100 point ships of their own as escorts for their team's Mothership. These ships must conform to either the Frigate, Cruiser or Battleship hull classes. Each team of eight will therefore end up with one Mothership and eight smaller escorts.
If it ain't broke, then don't try to fix it

I thought that was the point, the first deadline.
This way, people can submit ships and then either try to counter the opponent or try to counter your opponent's counter of your ship or counter the counter of the counter .
It adds more fun =P.

Ok so you want us to plan against you so you lose no matter what you make.......fine two submissions it is I suppose if everyone agrees thats a good idea lol. But don't go crying to mommy when your mothership is made public and we utterly dismantle it cuz it was made so lol. No fun seeing what your up against before hand, but I suppose if we must do so....
Then it will be your deaths giving us more of a advantage then we already have 8)
May the force be with you after we see your mothership and it goes public.....
*visions of the death star blowing up comes to mind, after its blueprints were made public*

Sounds like we will slaughter them if thats the case. Can we all say one sided victory because we are allowed to plan ahead. This way, people can submit ships and then either try to counter the opponent or try to counter your opponent's counter of your ship or counter the counter of the counter
