I'm doing that anyway, but people are either not listening or don't think it's going to be enough.
The formation rules should really even things out a lot as well; the Mothership is going to be less of a factor if it's the first thing to get targeted.
It's up to everyone in the tournament - do we lower mothership point budgets to mitigate the problem but have them play a slightly reduced role, or are you prepared to risk more than a fair share of draws but have larger ships?
I'm all for leaving it as is. Everybody is aware of the issue, and since we will get equal runs from both sides (allies/enemies) then it should all even out. This actually puts even more strategy into the equation... do you create a Mothership that is gimped somewhat as an ally but then gets to really throw its weight around when it becomes an enemy ship (or maximize its use as an ally and not take advantage of the full firepower that could be used as an enemy)???
I agree with Jafo 100 percent, leave it as is and let us plan even harder since we already know the consequences anyways. The fight set up will even it out anyways as I see it.

We only need 5 more members. Badger people until they join in. If people don't mind, I could fill a slot on Team Gamma (I promise to be fair about it).

You might find this one a little easier to use. Note that there are all sorts of conditional formating if you want to use it in a different tourney with different rules and restrictions. This was somebody else's idea (for a different tourney) which I have modified quite a bit to (IMHO) make it easier to use.

I don't like this, because some of us have shown you our ships, and I feel it would be funner to do this without worrying about subconscious conflict of interest.
Nice chart, but it says 0.01 acceleration costs 1 point. It actually costs 2.[/quibble]

Fair enough. Although, you're the only person who's PMed me a mothership design so far, and I don't think it was particularly serious (it was crap, for one thing). I guess we'll all have to try to drum up some extra competitors, then.
Alternatively, we can go for 3 teams of 6 (and a 600 point Mothership), though as we have 19 people this would mean I'd have to kick someone onto the reserve list.
Fill the slot on Gamma. If you're going to kick someone, I'd recommend elecboy since I haven't heard from him in PM(he hasn't even looked at my PM) and his last post was when he signed up for this. Everyone else are kinda regular.
If you PM him your MS, then mark it. It's what was done in custom fleet.
Yeah I agree and like the teams the way they are. To much planning has went into our teams efforts already, to split us up. There will be more people who are interested I'm sure. If no one else posts soon then just allow gamma to enter multiple ships per person and enter yourself Daxx. That way the number of ships can stay the same and the teams don't split up. Easy way to solve this dilema no lol.
