The Renegade Hunter is much harder than the flagship, simply because the quad blasters slaughter you in every stage of the fight, and theres a stage in the battle where the sides and rear are all aegised and there are two pulsars and the quads in the front.
Only thing I had a problem with was the missles, I continously rotate around the beast (s) and pick them to pieces.
So a good boss then, hard to take down. Would be considered final boss like, or the limit of what a ships strenth should be?

Guess you can call this a early on type boss, pretty easy to take down. But still a slight challenge.
Also are you planning on making the encounters like actual Star Fox missions. Have some fighters and medium sized craft to defeat when the mission opens, then the boss spawns in after you defeat the small fleet? Add in some meteors and astroids for tactics, etc. Would be pretty cool. Then make a line up of missions to complete, with bosses ranging in power from start to finish? Maybe throw in the odd power up?
I could make some blank maps with interesting terrain to contribute for the missions, and some of the small fighters and medium sized ships. Maybe someone make versions of the old ships from the games?
